WHAT'S IN THIS EPISODE?
Of all the joyfully infectious, lip-sync loving, pink-haired wedding photographers, McKenzie Deakins is my favorite. And I have a sneaky suspicion she’s about to be yours, too! Which is why I’m SO incredibly excited to share her beautiful energy and heart and her story (including the untold parts) with you. She’s been making magic photographing weddings for over a decade now. So, she knows a thing or two and has been around the metaphorical block enough times to have seen a lot change. The real reason you’re going to love her, though? She has this beautiful way of making you feel totally seen and wildly excited all at the same time. She adds a dash of sugar and excitement to everything she does and yet, she keeps it incredibly real. So, grab a coke (McKenzie’s favorite) and get cozy.
Want a sneak peek? We talk about:
WHO IS MCKENZIE DEAKINS?
McKenzie Deakins has been shooting weddings since 2005. She loves to share her passion for photography by teaching! She enjoys shooting weddings, taking beautiful pictures of beautiful people and making Lip Sync Videos, but her goal in life is to teach! McKenzie is a Wife to Greg Deakins and mom of two stinking cute kids - Ellie and Harrison Danger. And yes, his middle name is Danger. McKenzie believes there is nothing better than a cold coke, that Disneyland is the greatest place on earth, and likes to add 'licious' to the end of words to make them fabulous.

Stoppppp in the name of badass women entrepreneurs, and push the pause button on whatever it was you were doing. Love, if you somehow stumbled upon this blog post or the description for this episode, it wasn’t coincidence. IT WAS FATE!! And while I believe every woman who dreams of starting a business or has already started one should listen to this conversation, we can at least start with you. You were made for big things. Just like Christina Stembel.
So, whether you have a college degree or not (she doesn’t) or whether you come from an entrepreneurial background or not (she didn’t) or whether everyone around you believes you’re going to do big things or not (she didn’t have this either), hear me now: you can build a multi-million dollar business and do incredible things. Because she did.
Mmkay. No, go hit play right this very minute and dive in, my love.
Want a sneak peek? We talk about:
WHO IS CHRISTINA STEMBEL?
Christina always knew she wanted to start a business that would utilize her creativity, solve a real problem, and having the potential to scale big. She dreamed up the idea for Farmgirl Flowers in 2010, quit her job at Stanford University, and launched from her dining room in San Francisco, which housed the company (and her very understanding fiancé!) for 2 years. She’s built Farmgirl from less than $50K in self funding into an 75+ person company generating $15M+ in annual revenue. She’s not stopping there though – she plans to grow Farmgirl's annual revenue while creating a business you'd want to buy from, sell to, and work for -- because she believes it’s just the right thing to do.

WHAT'S IN THIS EPISODE?
Three years ago Amber had no intention of starting and running a full-time business. She was working as a nurse by trade and planned to start Eleventh Candle Co., a company that works globally to redeem, restore, empower, and equip those vulnerable to human trafficking, abuse, exploitation, and addiction, on the side. Her business grew exponentially, though, and a few years in she was running a multi-million dollar business, and the pressure was unreal. She found herself in a really dark place and was ready to quit everything. Life included. Through a journey into deep self-care, therapy, and looking inwards, though, Amber was able to find a way to put herself first. She learned to manage her energy instead of her time, and it impacted everything.
We talk about:
WHO IS AMBER RUNYON?
The official line: Hospice Nurse who became a social entrepreneur. Amber founded Legacy and Eleventh Candle Co. out of the desire to bring hope to women both in the United States and in Ethiopia who’ve been vulnerable to human trafficking, abuse, exploitation, and addiction. Focusing on providing therapeutic work setting that allows all women a fair chance and opportunity to grow.
The bottom line: Amber believes that if we teach little girls to dream they will the force that changes this world, she believes more than that; that if we can teach broken women to dream like little girls again it will be a force that the world has yet to see.

WHAT'S IN THIS EPISODE?
We’re picking up right where we left off with Ashley Beaudin in episode 235 (if you haven’t listened to the first part of our conversation, make sure to go listen first). Quick recap: Ashley’s journey of listening to her intuition is deeply rooted in her religious beliefs. She’s been practicing “hearing from God†since she was 14 years old. She’s also spent years practicing checking in with her heart to find intentional presence. We covered all of that and more in part one. We pick up the convo here with me asking her whether she ever doubts that intuitive voice and what that voice even sounds like.
In part two of our conversation, we talk about:
WHO'S ASHLEY BEAUDIN?
Ashley Beaudin is an inspirational speaker, heart encourager and coach to creative women. She is passionate about equipping women to develop a flourishing relationship with themselves, heal their identity and increase their confidence. You may also know her as the visionary behind #theimperfectboss; a movement that is making imperfect normal and inspiring tens of thousands of creative women to become real and confident in life and business. The easiest way to her heart is through soul talk, hugs and donuts.
