After what feels like an infinite hiatus, I am back to podcasting for myself and for you. I have been doing so much lately that is has been difficult to keep the podcast top of mind, but that's going to change. I am going to set aside time for those of you who take the time to listen to my podcast. Appreciate everyone who listens and hope you all stay blessed.

In this episode, I wanted to dive deeper into a question that I was asked, "How can I help you?". It was bothering me that at the time I didn't have an answer and in some ways still don't. This was still a great exercise of self-reflection and I want to give Eric Moody a lot of credit for inspiring it, and hope more people thinking about these things.

I wanted to say goodbye officially to 2021 in what was a very crazy year both personally and literally in terms of the state of the world right now. I discuss some of the things to keep in mind heading into the new year and how to best attack your goals in 2022. Remember to not be too hard on yourself and set yourself up for success with levels to each goal and a reward attached to each.

In this episode, I tell the story of my first real estate deal and how it all went down. I also touch on my journey through the pandemic to now producing a show every day and all the new work that I have taken on in the past 2 months. Its all a surreal experience but I wouldn't change anything about it.

It's been about two weeks since the start of my new show "Wake Up with Ray G" and it has definitely been a bit of an adjustment for me personally. I had to reinvent my workflow to better suit my daily tasks and figure out the best way to maximize my time. As I begin my journey into real estate I have found out the not-so-shocking truth that it's pretty expensive. I've been trying to figure out all of the small things I have to do in order to be certified and be protected if anything happened.

After such a long layoff from work, I completely forgot what it was like to work for any type of company. When I say I have been relaxing and working for myself for way too long, that is an understatement. With all of these new responsibilities thrust upon me there has been part of me that just wonders "who the hell put me in charge of anything. I am way too irresponsible for this" and thus I have to relearn what it's like to be a good employee. Like I always talk about, we have to adjust and remind ourselves that we are capable. That's how we got the opportunity in the first place.

I dive deeper into my thoughts about getting back to work after such a long stint of doing whatever I wanted. It's both humbling and scary to think that it has been so long. Nearly forgetting what it is like to be paid to work full time and all the time needed to go into that. There have been so many who have supported me so far and I am really excited to share what comes next. I am excited, I am capable, and I am going to kill it. At least that's what I tell myself every night. Affirmation Szn in full effect.

In this episode, I discuss a recent learning experience I had where I set out to do a whole bunch of things in one day and got so frustrated with my lack of success I had to walk away from the project for two weeks. Sometimes you over-extend yourself, and in my case, overextended my abilities. It took me making this mistake to realize that I have to set more manageable goals and expectations for my growth.
