A quick look at sustainability and renewable energy stats reveals unexpected insights. By comparing lists of net zero countries, top ten renewable energy producers, top ten renewable energy users, and so on, it’s easy to notice why in spite of many environmentally-friendly innovations, we’re not carbon-neutral, yet.

We are caught in a catch-22 of unprecedented magnitude. The climate crisis forces us to choose between different kinds of survival. One is the choice between life and death. The other is what kind of life and on whose terms, we are willing to accept.
