Light Bright and Big Shawn invite Local Hip Hop Artist and Writers for a panel discussion on the current predicament (COVID-19), how it has affected each of them individually, and what changes they see to the "culture" as a result. Modern Medusa, James Pierce, Schoolboy D, and the rapper/producer himself, Random was in the building to discuss all this plus new projects, music, spoken word and more. Modern Medusa is a contemporary author and poet, born and raised in Saint Petersburg, Florida. As a sailing scholar turned college dropout-Modern Medusa uses her past experiences and relationships throughout her life to cultivate her poetry and writing. She has three compelling books including: Underneath It All, which is a compilation of poems surrounding race, social statuses, love, pain, self-esteem challenges, and self-liberation; and You Are Enough, which is a self-help book generated to MOTIVATE & INSPIRE individuals who are in a broken, insecure or emotional place in life. Kevin Elijah Burgess (born July 21, 1988), better known by his stage name KB, is an American Christian hip hop artist and music executive from St. Petersburg, Florida. He is the leader of the hip-hop group HGA, and was signed as a solo artist to Reach Records in 2010. Three studio releases in and KB is at his creative zenith. For years, the Tampa native has been something of an outlier in hip-hop, firmly placing a thumb print on the game while invoking the power of spiritual conviction. His lyricism is impassioned and astute, and he won’t be bent against his will. Given his commanding presence and consistent output, it comes as no surprise that the world has taken notice. The Wade O Radio Show describes Derek Minor as "one of the hardest working artists in our scene"; releasing, on average, one project, whether it be an Album, EP, or Mixtape per year over the past 10 years. In some years, he has completed a number of projects. He is no stranger to hard work, dedication, and clear ethic. Minor was in-famed by his connection to Reach Records and the 116 Clique.  Currently he is the co-owner of the Reflection Music group and in the truest sense is a leader, artist, and a Man of God.  Big Shawn and LightBright introduce to some, and present to others, Derek Minor on this episode of The Realness.
