* Have you ever heard of the Bonus Army? This week in 1932, veterans of the First World War marched on Washington, D.C. Their demand was the satisfaction of war bonus pay promised that was allegedly not to be paid until 1945. These unarmed protestors were driven out of the capital city at bayonet point, with many of our textbook American military heroes in command of the tanks and calvary charged with quelling this movement. You may read parts and pieces of it from the National Parks Service and the U.S. Senate history, but do you know the real story? The Tuttle Twins shared it this week, and it’s worth knowing. The scary parallels to January 6, 2021, and what centralized power naturally does when confronted are stark warnings to us all.

* Former Missouri Rep. Hannah Kelly is running for State Senate District 16, and she joins us this show to discuss her background and priorities for office should the 16th send her forward as the Republican nominee. Find out more about her and her platform here at her website.

* Thousands of Africans have poured into Spain this week after the highest Spanish court prohibited the pushing back of migrants coming in via water. * After Dr. Fauci’s lackluster testimony (he pled the 5th 111 times…) this week before Rand Paul’s Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (watch the full hearing here), the Senate is shaping up plans to hold him in contempt. How can someone plead the 5th Amendment to avoid self-incrimination when they’ve already received a pardon? That’s a good question. Even Democrat Sen. John Fetterman from Pennsylvania had some harsh words of regret for his trust in Fauci during the plandemic. Contempt of Congress isn’t the only vehicle forward, however. Florida is leading the way launching an investigation into Fauci’s actions, and I hope other states may follow suit. Why? Presidential Pardons don’t apply to state charges…

* Two senators in particular, lame ducks John Cornyn and Thom Tillis, are holding up Todd Blanche’s confirmation as Attorney General. Trump is floating an run around plan to pull the nomination and leave Blanche as acting AG until Tillis and Cornyn are gone. And this process has Trump questioning publicly whether it’s time for John Thune to be replaced as Senate Majority Leader.

* Plus, Planned Parenthood opens southwest Missouri clinic for the first time in 20 years thanks to 2024’s constitutional changes (this is why we must pass Amendment 3 this November), US intel chiefs back Trump claims about China’s election interference and theft, and reminder that the media shills who covered up Biden’s decline still have their jobs even after the audio tapes release of Biden and his memoir ghostwriter.

* The big news ot he day is Dr. Anthony Fauci, former federal lead on COVID director of NIAID, appeared before Chairman Rand Paul’s Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. You really should watch the full hearing here, but most of what you’ll find is one of Fauci’s obnoxious lawyers getting the boot from the room and Fauci himself pleading the 5th Amendment (over 100 times). The big catch? I don’t think he’s allowed to plead the 5th since he’s accepted Biden’s preemptive pardon of dubious constitutionality. Experts like Mike Benz say Fauci boxed himself in between the two nasty choices of telling the truth and destroying his reputation, or lying yet again and perjuring himself anew! Senator Rand Paul isn’t taking Fauci’s 5th Amendment bonanza lightly. He’s promised repercussions, and is already moving to hold Fauci in contempt. Either way, the departments of State and Health and Human Services have officially banned federal funding of gain-of-function research (foreign and domestic) in accordance with one of President Trump’s executive orders last year.

* The Senate confirmed Jay Clayton this week on a party line vote as the new Director of National Intelligence, but only after acting DNI Bill Pulte gave us the final gift of a fourth round of agency layoffs. MORE layoffs! More restructuring of the Intelligence Community.

* In fact, a new report from Open the Books paints a lovely picture of the Swamp’s decline in civilian / bureucratic employment and payroll. From 2024 to 2025, the federal payroll is down more than 50,000 employees and $1.9 billion in salaries. Read the full report here.

* A New York election auditor has found more fraudulent votes cast in NYC Mayoral race last year than the total of Zohran Mamdani’s margin of victory… and they’ve only examined less than half the votes cast. This doesn’t shock any of us, I’m sure, as we’re watching not only Democrat vote-making machines ramp up but the full-steam-ahead activities of liberal donation machine. A Michigan story about an 88-year-old woman who made nearly 15,000 donations totaling $150,000 to Democrats, but she says it can’t be her. It reeks of fraud. The White House and Trump’s campaign orbit are right to call the Democrat Party shift for what it is — Communism.

* Missouri Rep. Don Mayhew joined me live to discuss his race for Missouri Senate 16th district. Don is one of four candidates running in district 16, and says he’s the only campaign not being supported by special interest money. He asks for people’s vote so he can bring his budget committee experience in cutting to the State Senate and end the gridlock with big financial decisions ahead for Missouri. * Don’t forget, we’re just under a week away from Primary Day in Missouri! Make your ballot cheat sheets for August 4, and don’t forget that we still have a statewide office on the ballot — Missouri State Auditor. Check out that race as you continue to research other candidates and the constitutional amendments.

* The Daniel Boone Regional Library moved forward with an LGBT-themed “Rainbow Story Hour” geared toward pre-school and toddlers last weekend despite big backlash from many state officials. AG Catherine Hanaway and Secretary of State Denny Hoskins had sent letters and threats, and State Sen. Rick Brattin filed a records request about the event’s planning. Bottom line: public library, public money, public accountability.

* The Oversight Project released a ton of tapes and transcripts from Biden’s discussions with his ghost writer in 2016-2017 and the number of redactions of classified material revealed to this writer are astounding.

* Missouri’s shift to phonics-based reading instruction worries some teachers (unions) that they are going to “lose tools”? How about we gain literacy proficiency. Nearly half of fourth graders in MO don’t even register at the bottom level of proficiency. Phonics is the tried-and-true method for proficient literacy. It doesn’t remove tools, it reinstates tools that have been cast aside.

* In the Missouri District 1 congressional primary, Cori Bush is trying to give the boot to the guy who gave it to her last cycle. The problem? She has lots of them, but it represents an interesting window into the rise of DSA candidates and the civil war inside the Democrat Party.

* Sen. Eric Schmitt revealed memos that show Biden Admin plots to ramp up millions of new temporary protected status holders and other immigrant pipelines before Trump took office in 2025. Thankfully, many of those plans didn’t come to fruition. But it adds more fuel to the fire of Congressional attempts to curtail our immigration and citizenship problems.

* After Trump’s election integrity address two weeks ago, Federal courts issued two different opinions, a win and a loss, this week sounding off on Trump’s executive order to curtail mail-in ballot voting. Trump has asked the Supreme Court to weigh in.

* Yet another police officer has been found abusing Flock-style automated camera systems, and the backlash continues as vigilantes take matters into their own hands with AI surveillance cameras in their area.

* PLUS: Cracker Barrel CEO is out after the terribly bungled attempt to rebrand, Secret Services suspends an agent accused of leaking JD Vance’s travel details, and Robby Starbuck dropped a truth bomb on the info-tainment rise of commentators surrounding Charlie Kirk’s murder and the trial of his alleged killer.

* As Anthony Fauci is set to testify Wednesday before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, Chairman Rand Paul is releasing a treasure trove of documents in the lead up. Some of the most fascinating — and disturbing — are pages from Fauci’s fame-focused personal diaries as well as hundreds of pages of private messages revealing his top cronies knew well their public narrative about lockdowns and COVID origins were highly suspicious. Well worth your time to look at ahead of Wednesday’s hearing.

* Record numbers of prime-age working American men are simply… not working. They have exited the work force, and the increasing numbers tell us a troubling trend. The solution? I think we need to stop just creating new job positions to fill and start cutting back the programs that make not working a possibility or even a comfortable life for those who simply choose not to. Yes, I want to fight new agriculture-based amnesty programs, and yes I want DHS to keep cracking down on employers of illegals, but there’s more to it than just that. We have to re-engage the working men of America, which means we need to disengage the programs that make it desirable to stop working.

* Despite chances to change course, Democrats seem bent on installing radical leftists as their primary nominees, even when terrible radical leftist candidates like Graham Platner in Maine fall flat on their face. Watching their electoral playbook unfold should remind us all that we must drive home the major point with the American public that socialism, or democratic socialism, is just a fancy name for communism. And communism always equals slavery. Too many Americans have simply forgotten or never been taught the failures and evils of socialism as it’s been employed around the world. If the Democrat Party is going to insist on making the case for beautifying socialism, we need to meet them on the field of information warfare and get down to brass tacks with our fellow citizens.

* The corporate propagandists in the media are insistent that Trump’s “meanness” at the White House Correspondent Dinner this weekend (a meaningless event, that is supposed to be dishing out insults between the administration and journalists) is a huge deal you should be worried about. What they aren’t talking about is the tragic assault on the First Amendment that has come from Minnesota courts. A young woman was convicted last week of saying racist words in a public park, and a $1,000 fine + community service was added to her punishment of already serving 90 days in jail. Make no mistake, Shiloh Hendrix’s language and racial slurs in her now-viral video from last year is indefensible, but we don’t have to defend the language to defend the First Amendment right to say offensive things. I think this is a grave warning to us about just how far court’s have come in willing to dole out punishment for so-called “hate speech,” which does not exist in law or the Constitution.

* Plus: we cover a Texas family who donated land for a park and instead is getting a data center in their back yard, how Meta used backroom deals in Louisiana to get everything they want on a new massive data center and leave all the downsides to others, and the U.S. tariff bump on 60 different trading partners.

* Tina Peters spent an undeserved 606 days in jail for blowing the whistle on election problems in Mesa County, Colorado. Nearly two years in jail, sentence finally commuted, and she’s on the move with receipts of US election vulnerability. Can we address any of it before the midterms? * Secretary of State Marco Rubio laid out a monster of a report on Cuba’s infiltration to the US through Marxist groups. It’s titled “Cuba: The Capital of 21st Century Communism.” They pull no punches, connecting all the dots between Communism, Cuba, Marxist radicals in the American 1960s like Weather Underground, and the cushy academic and political jobs into which they waltzed. There’s even a thread directly to former President Barack Obama.

* WNBA rising star Sophie Cunningham decided to wade into the men in womens sports issue, and she made the wokesters mad. What’s more? She doesn’t feel the need to back down. “I said what I said.” Good for her.

* Elon Musk also took the time to swat away woke concerns from The Economist about his crusade to “save the West.” They can’t understand how he doesn’t see how many people who loath him. He doesn’t care, and he understands more people agree with him that not. Plus he made sure to tell them the loathing from the people for them is mutual. Again, good for him.

PLUS:

* White House science report shows invasion of foreign visa holders sucking science education resources and time only to benefit other countries’ advancement — it should be Americans first.

* Trump’s patience with Senate runs thin on SAVE Act. So does James Carville’s for that matter.

* But establishment GOP leaders are more concerned with holding up nominations. We need more Congressman Brandon Gills who are concerned with fixing America’s broken citizenship.

He took no prisoners this week in charing the House Oversight Committee's Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Constitutional Abuses. You really have to see some of his Q&A with the ABA president. Truly, the ABA is one of the worst offenders at weaponizing their sway over law school accreditations to force DEI practices into admissions procedures and coursework.

"The ABA’s promotion of DEI has created poorly trained lawyers who prioritize political activism over following the law," Gill said. "Congress must do its part to identify harmful DEI policies within the ABA and legal profession to help root them out and ensure equal opportunity and access to justice for all Americans."

* After much research and many interviews, I go over my thoughts and how I’m voting on the four Missouri constitution amendments on the August 4 primary ballot. Long version? I’m posting my voter’s guide with reasoning behind my decisions next. Look for that soon. Short version? I’ll be voting:

* NO on Amendment 1 (Parks/Soil/Water Sales Tax Renewal)

* YES on Amendment 2 (Charter [read: Jackson] County Elected Assessors requirement)

* YES on Amendment 4 (Changes to initiative petition process and votes needed)

* YES on Amendment 5 (providing for the legislature to eliminate state income tax through expansion of consumption taxes)

PLUS:

* AOC comes out on top in New Hampshire Dem primary poll for president. Gavin Newsom is waaaay down low, and Word Salad Harris is dead last. What does this mean? Maybe nothing, but the early primary D voters don’t seem to care about the people who are most vocal that they should be given attention. That is just a pleasure to see.

* MO Sen. Josh Hawley says no more mega bonuses for USPS execs unless they deliver 95% on-time deliveries. (See what I did there?) I say: fire the postal system and start over.

* U.S. House passes “Stop Insider Trading Act,” but no one believes the Senate will. The House likely knows that, so you could call it a show vote. As much as we appreciate the automated (and highly successful) portfolio advice, we’d really like to ban stock trading in Congress.

* Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway is after lots of people, and I say go get ‘em. In this case, she’s taking Kansas City to federal court over DEI discrimination, and launching an investigation into scorned former Missouri Congresswoman Cori Bush and her suspect activities.

* Yet again… at least 47 House Republicans are bucking the Trump Agenda and putting forward a new mass-amnesty plan for agriculture workers. This would seek to give legal status and waive immigration violations for many H-2A farmworker visa holders. We are aware of hundreds of thousands already here, and the number if far higher. Take a look at the report here.

* The federal Department of Education is putting a new rule in place demanding colleges show their graduates are better off or they might just lose financial aid. A bad measure of college worth, or a good move to demand accountability and shift away from woke ideology and degrees?

Lots of big news to cover in this show!

First off, the astronomical growth of a Flock / ALPR (automated license plate reader) surveillance state. Mass surveillance traffic cameras continue to expand — tens of thousands of cameras in thousands of communities scanning people more than a billion times a day. This is a huge concern, that I will address in a standalone post later. But to meet this new rise of the mass surveillance state, three key members of Congress are fighting back. Rep. Keith Self (TX-03) has filed the Protecting Rights in Video and Equipment Acquired Discovery (PRIVACY) Act to force at least federal law enforcement agencies to obtain warrants before accessing these surveillance data. Representatives Eli Crane (AZ-02) and Andrew Clyde (GA-09) are the original cosponsors of the bill. This is a great start but the fight is far from over. We need real leadership at the state and local levels as well to fight for constitutional rights over hoped-for security tools.

In the courts, the Hawaii Supreme Court has set off a potential firestorm of judicial activism in their opinion on Granillo v. State. Justices reserved the final nearly 20 pages to put the current case aside and launch a full frontal attack on the legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court. Will other leftist states follow suit? Time will tell. But on the positive, the D.C. Circuit Appeals court has denied former President Biden’s emergency attempt to block the DOJ from releasing Special Counsel Hur’s collected interview transcripts and audio recordings. What’s so important in them? Enough for the Heritage Foundation to seek them with FOIA, and looks like we’re a step closer to getting them.

Also in this show: New Jersey had the thing happen again that supposedly never happens (hint: illegal voters registered and voting), the Senate still can’t bring itself to actually work and pass the SAVE America Act, the Trump Admin is pausing a billioni dollars in Medicaid Payments to California and Minnesota, and Missouri AG Catherine Hanaway removes Ray County’s prosecutor for gross misconduct allegations. All that and more!
