The Record Collectors Club podcast makes a 2026 return after a couple of months break and Iain is back talking his way through the Record Store Day list for 2026.
There are some great records on the list as always (and some stinkers too) but the focus is on the good stuff, so have a listen to some of Iain's tips on what to pick up and listen to his first reactions to the list and what he might pick up himself!
On this second of the two part series, the round table team each discuss their top 5 records of the year.
2025 has been another incredibly strong year for music and this is reflected across the choices of the panel with lots of different genres represented, hidden gems discussed and some big mainstream records talked about too.
In the first of a two part double header, Iain is joined again by the round table team of Ben and Billy (sadly Kev was ill) to discuss the year of 2025 in records!
On this first episode, they talk through their favourite reissues and compilations of the year across a whole host of genres including boxsets, comps and other releases.
Iain is back after a small hiatus with the record review for the month of November where he reviews new releases from White Lies, Futureheads, James and Doves.
On this short episode, he also talks through the new Beatles "Anthology 4" release, talks through a few pre order bits and discusses what's left to come for the rest of the year on the podcast.
On this week's episode of The Record Collectors Club Conversations Podcast, Iain is joined by Jeff Hordley.
Those in the UK will recognise Jeff as Cain Dingle from the TV show, Emmerdale but hes a huge record collector and also dj's the vinyl format too.
Jeff and Iain dig into his collection and his history with the vinyl format talking about his go-to genres for spinning wax out on his Dj ventures.
Jeff picks out some of his recent finds and favourite records too and they chat a little about the opening of Roker Records in Sunderland too.
On this months episode of the Record Review, Iain talks through the new releases that have dropped in the relatively quiet month of October including albums from Taylor Swift, Richard Ashcroft and Robert Plant.
He discusses the new Springsteen boxset "Nebraska 82" and also gives his mini review of the new film "Springsteen : Deliver Me From Nowhere".
Finally he rounds up the pre orders announced and talks about the weekend opening for Roker Records, his new record shop in Sunderland.
This week on the podcast, the round table challenge returns and for this episode, Iain, Ben, Kev and Billy pick five debut records that they think are either underrated, forgotten or deserve more attention.
Their choices span across a number of genres and eras and will hopefully bring these records back to the forefront of record collectors and music fans minds as they discuss their thoughts and opinions on each record.
Iain is back this week with another episode of The Record Review where he talks through the vinyl releases from the past month including new releases, reissues and also talks about what pre orders have been announced.
September was full of great new records from artists such as Suede, David Byrne, Saint Ettienne, Red Rum Club and many more.
Lots of pre orders announced too, including records to look forward to from Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Shed Seven, Pulp, Blur and Dido!
Iain also shares his exciting vinyl news that he is opening a record shop in Sunderland called Roker Records.
On this week's episode of The Record Collectors Club Conversations Podcast, Iain is joined by one of his favourite artists from the past few years, ahead of seeing her perform at her sell out show at Pop Recs in Sunderland, Kate Stables.
Kate, or more commonly known as her stage alias This Is The Kit, has been a constant in the UK Folk music scene for a number of years now releasing six studio records and a number of Eps and singles over almost two decades of recording music.
Kate and Iain discuss her record collection and inspiration over the years for writing her music, life on the road as a touring artist, collaborating with bands such as The National and her upcoming concerts with Jessica Hoop playing the music of Joni Mitchell.
On this weeks episode of The Record Collectors Club Conversation's Podcast, Iain is back again with another episode of The Record Review where he rounds up the new releases, reissues and pre order news from the last month.

He discusses Coldplay's eco vinyl reissue campaign and also the Oasis boxset and then runs through the pre order news including stuff from The Beatles, The Cribs, Florence & the Machine, Doves, Beck and many more!
