Christopher Adam is the Executive Director of St. Joseph's Church in Ottawa. The Parish runs the St. Joe's Supper Table  community meal service and food bank, as well as the St. Joe's Women's Centre day program. In living the Catholic-Christian teaching of the Preferential Option for the Poor, St. Joe's recognizes the many faces of poverty and seeks to walk in solidarity with those on the margins of our society.

Darcy C is an Ottawa born and raised Chef by trade. After finding the rooms of AA he recognized the need for continuous action in this vigorous program of recovery, as his sobriety medallion states. Through this new found passion for recovery, Darcy continues to help the still suffering addict and alcoholic grow in the spirit of love and find the same serenity he did, just like the 12th step asks us to do.

Kevin has an amazing and honest conversation with Kaite Burkholder-Harris from the Alliance to End Homelessness here in Ottawa. Prior to this, she has been working at the national level as a Policy Analyst with Reaching Home, the federal government’s Homelessness Partnering Strategy. Previously, she worked as a System Planner with the Canadian Observatory on Homelessness and spent a number of years working as the Project Manager for A Way Home Ottawa in preventing and ending youth homelessness.

Having worked as a frontline mental health worker, Kaite has a strong understanding of some of the challenges that people living on the streets face. Motivated by a desire to see larger systems change, Kaite is energized by engaging and mobilizing new stakeholders towards the goal of safe and affordable housing for everyone in our community.

Michelle got sober at the age of 23, by the grace of God. She started drinking at 13 and struggled with alcoholism and concurrent disorders for 10 years before she found a new way to live in the program of AA.
