I had the opportunity to do a collaboration with Coach Riley who runs the Instagram account called, An Athletes Brain. Since Coach Riley's following is primarily parents of athletes, we took the approach of going over common questions some parents have about developing their student athlete and steps to making it to college athletics. We cover several topics outlined as follows:

- Where should I start my kids in sports? Specialized sport vs. multiple sports.
- Different types of training and playing your part on a team
- Grades & NCAA Eligibility, why are they important? 
- Finding your village and earning their support
- Your attitude in practice

This is another "full-circle" episode for me as I get to chat with Ryder MacGillivray, walk-on wide receiver at Utah State University. Ryder has been the epitome of hard-work and is very coachable. In this solo episode I cap off what we learned from episode 13, “TikTok Made Me Do It”, and I dive into creating a list of universities or programs you want to play for. I also talk about the creation of some templated info/messaging to help you initiate contact with coaches. I dive deep into what to include, how to navigate a schools website, where to find contact info for coaches, and an opportunity to get on their radar. I had a blast having Ilaisa Tuiaki on the podcast. Coach Tuiaki is a fantastic coach and person with tremendous experience in all aspects of football. On this episode we talk though his history and how he chose to serve a full time church mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints before going to play college football. He also shares his thoughts and approach on "mission kids" now that he is a coach. We spoke through his experience in MMA fighting and how it has helped him be a better teacher on the field. He brings a unique perspective to the recruiting process as a whole. Focusing on more than the physical attributes of a recruit and their film. Explaining why it has to be a fit for both the student-athlete and college football program. It's definitely one of our longer episodes, but worth every second! This has to be one of the best walk-on stories you’ll ever hear. Kaulana Apelu is a former Oregon Duck that currently plays overseas for the Tokyo Gas Creators in Japan. He joins me on this weeks episode to share his story of how he battled through overwhelming odds throughout his high school and college career. I took an episode to go over some of the basic first steps of recruiting. It felt necessary after a video I posted on TikTok about eligibility got a lot of questions and comments.
