The Red Hawk Squawk

Rig-A-Dig-Dig-Dig!! On this week's episode we have all four of the Drum Majors and Field Commanders of the Marching Band! Lauryn, Lilli, Marshall and Makaylah. We talk about all things Marching Band and music in general.

NOTES:

• Eric accidentally misspoke in his introduction. This is actually Episode 29 not Episode 28.
• We've moved some mics around in the Squawk Studio and we're experimenting with some of our new wireless capabilities. Some volume levels may be a little varied, especially with 4 guests. We appreciate your understanding as we are continuously trying to dial it in. Much Love Red Hawk Nation!

It was an ELECTRIC night in the Backyard! The first home football game of 2025!! Join Kevven on his Squawk Walk around the field. He checks out the concession stand, the student section, the press box, and grabs some thoughts from the players after their blowout victory!!! This one's special. ENJOY!!!

Tom Greene is a local sports reporter for the Huron Daily Tribune. In this episode Tom talks about his journey through broadcasting and media, to and from the sidelines, and all over the country! We talk about his love of sports and some of the many experiences that he's had in the Thumb and beyond covering athletics all over the region.

Join Kevven as he goes for a Squawk Walk. This time in the elementary school to get to know the staff and get their thoughts on the end of the first week of school.

This week we are talking with "A Man of Many Talents," Mr. Clark Ramsey. Clark is a fellow broadcaster/podcaster with WLEW in Bad Axe, as well as the Director of Marketing at Scheurer Health in Pigeon, and he was even the Sparty mascot as MSU for four years. He's even done some work in the professional sports world, with some of our beloved Detroit teams. Join us as we talk with this local celebrity!

On this week's episode of the Squawk we are talking with Janet Richards and Ben Varney of the Cass City Promise. Get ready to learn how an idea turned into a group of people working together with the community to change the future of each and every student who attends and graduates from Cass City Jr./Sr. High School. The Promise helps to financially support students towards obtaining post-secondary education, attend trade school and much more.

We've hinted at it for weeks now, but The Red Hawk Squawk has gone mobile! Join Eric as he walks around the school and talks to the staff and teachers as they get ready for back to school on Monday August 18th! It's "Very Cool."

A Very Special Thanks to Mr. Bill Hartzell for his generous gift of a wireless microphone, which allows us to go on "Squawk Walks" and bring you more content you want to hear!!

Join us as we chat with our Dean of Students Mrs. Hempton. The Dean of Students is an interesting position that not every school has and we are lucky to have her! We talk about all things related to preparation for the coming school year. From schedules, to graduation, to college prep, and much more!!

Friday Night Lights are upon us! Join us as we talk to our varsity football coaches Scott Cuthrell and Tavis "T.O." Osentoski. From gridiron mentors to how they fell in love with the game. You don't want to miss this one!

On this weeks episode of the Squawk we have returning guest, Ag Teacher Heather Middleton (Episode 3) and Ag Parapro Lauren Taylor. Together, we will be recapping the Tuscola County Fair and talking about how well the Cass City FFA was represented.

Technical Note: When we have two guests on the show they have to share a microphone and depending on the angle and the direction that the microphone is facing and where the guest is looking when they're speaking, voice levels can vary greatly. You may notice this during some sections of this episode. Please rest assured that we are aware of this and are working on a solution. Stay tuned! We're making moves here at the Squawk and big changes are coming soon!!
