The Altered States of U.S. 

Part I

What is consciousness? How do you define it?  Materialistic science has failed to place this elusive fact of our existence into a neat little box, so it has opted to try to prove that each individual's uniqueness is simply the combination of chemical and neural activity in the brain.  This idea that we're simply evolutionary "accidents", formed from the primordial goo by chance is the basis of evolutionary theory, which has spawned many offshoots of "science" in relation to the brain, like behaviorism, psychology and psychotherapy.  It may surprise some of you that this idea of random creation is much older than Darwin.  It is the basis of the Hindu religion, which has been here for thousands of years.   

Now we are at a stage, where Eastern mysticism permeates our culture, but yet people don't think they are actually practising a religion at all. Yoga is everywhere, especially in the more "progressive" cities.  Wicca, Satanism, Santeria and a multitude of other occult groups have grown in popularity since the '60's.  The much beloved Harry Potter books/movies shows how much the occult has been accepted by the masses.  

So how did all this come to pass?  Let's find out how Freud, Jung, the Yogis of India and the New Age movement all connect.  

Corruption, whether it be in government or business, has become so commonplace that most people simply ignore it.  This implies that society itself has become so corrupt that those living within cannot see how horrible the situation has become.  How can this be?  Well, very sophisticated psychological techniques are used on us all the time, facilitating "the disappearance of reality in a world of hallucinations.  Man will be led to act from real motives that are scientifically directed and increasingly irresistible; he will be brought to sacrifice himself in a real world, but for the sake of the verbal universe which has been fashioned for him.  ...The ends he is expected to reach are known only to the manipulator of the mass subconscious, and to them alone."  (Jacques Ellul, "The Technological Society" 371-72)  In other words, the masses have been conditioned to respect authority, even when that authority is breaking all the rules that it created in the first place.  There is a blind hope that these very "special" people will see the errors of their ways and repent.  But psychopaths harbor no guilt or remorse for their actions. It's time people see the true face of our "leaders".

Leo Trotsky grew up in the prairie lands of southern Russia in the last decades of the 19th century.  I wonder what he would think of his boyhood home these days, with alcoholism plaguing every little town and village in the Russian countryside.  The dictatorship of the proletariat never came to be as he had hoped.  Stalin and his financial backers made sure of that.  As dour as Russia seems, the situation isn't much better in the quaint little country of Denmark, where the majority of citizens have been raised to rely on the state for pretty much everything. Doesn't that make one want to start a protest page on Facebook?  Well, be careful, because it might get pulled if the authorities don't like it. Over here in the U.S., the decline continues as the Federal Reserve continues to print cheap money, as though it will help anything.  I guess you could grow Mary Jane, but then you'd be killing the planet along with the people.  But we're dying already from poor food, inoculations and mistreatment when we're old and infirm, so what do we really have to lose?  None of this will change until more people understand and accept what's happening.  

So, Osama Bin Laden is dead for the umpteenth time.  But since they threw his body into the ocean, we'll never really know.  But will his death change anything?  Ten years into the war on terror, the public has become acclimatized the government's authoritarian posture.  And besides, torture, or "enhanced interrogation techniques" have normalized in the minds of the majority of the young, thanks to shows like 24 and video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops.  The new heroes are international and above the law.   Weren't we told that our presence in the Middle East would bring lower gas prices?  It's obvious now that was never the plan.  Unelected, high-minded advocates of carbon taxes will ensure that prices will continue to rise.  Torture comes in many forms.

Are you one of the thousands of people who wish to come to the U.S. legally?  If so, there's a new bureaucratic hurdle you must jump.  You may as well sneak through the Mexican border.  It would be easier.  We're not the only country dealing with illegal immigration, obviously, but Russia has solved their problem by banning the Movement Against Illegal Immigration altogether.  I wonder what our government has in store for Arizona?  Down in Brazil, the police have received high-tech facial scanning glasses not for public safety, per se, but to track the crowds at the upcoming World Cup games in 2014 and root out troublemakers.  We're not allowed to have fun anymore, it seems.  Over in Britain, Captain Picard has thrown his support behind the right to assisted dying, legitimizing suicide for thousands of loyal Star Trek fans.   Is this the final frontier?  The BBC already aired its propaganda piece about that subject, but now it's under fire after some leaked documents link it to al-Qaeda activity.  Those boys from Eton are always up to something.   Britain could be holding the bill for poor air quality during the Olympic Games, which just goes to show you that we never really win in this system.  

As a totalitarian regime manifests, it must obliterate the cultural history of its subjects, so that its power can appear eternal, and therefore, infallible.  George Orwell exposed this technique in "1984" and now we're beginning to see its use throughout the world.  But that not good enough for the global elite.  They also feel the need to kill us off and bring our population down to a more manageable level. What better way than to poison the well and affect the weather, causing droughts or floods?  You know, real wrath of God stuff.   But it doesn't stop there.  As health and wealth decline, people tend to become upset about reality and start to question whether or not this is the right path. Our "illustrious" leaders will have no opposition, so they implement large-scale spying operations, in order to "get to know us" better, understand what our grievances are and respond appropriately, thus lulling the masses back to sleep.  And you thought the iPhone 4 was just for your entertainment.

On today's talk, Erik and I cover a wide variety of topics from the death of bee colonies, poisonous food additives, the dangers of vaccines, the scam of global warming and/or climate change and our over reliance on technology.  This all sounds pretty bleak, but we need to be aware of the dangers around us if we're going to do anything about them.  Don't lose heart and keep speaking out to people who will listen! 

For anybody with even a vague sense of history, it is easy to see that the United Nations is simply a reintroduction of the League of Nations.  I just finished a book called, "Woodrow Wilson and Colonel House: A personality study", in which the authors give a good argument of why the United States did not enter the League after WWI; the war to end all wars, supposedly.  But the book also gives insight into the role of the technocrat, that enigmatic figure who shuns the limelight of the press, but works tirelessly to exercise his/her power over public leaders.  Colonel Mandell House was just one of many such technocrats, but his role in Wilson's presidency was unprecedented at the time.  I highly recommend the book.  Here in Seattle, I came across a flyer from the Revolutionary Communist Party of the U.S.A.  Again, anyone with a vague sense of history of the past 100 years will scoff at the idea that communism works, but this little pamphlet doesn't care about you.  It's designed to speak to the young and disenfranchised, of which there are many.  If you know anyone who is entertaining the idea of communism as a means to a better life, please direct them to this episode for a little more information.  

Erik is back on today's talk.  We cover topics ranging from the economy, H.A.A.R.P., chemtrails, phone apps that let you rat on people to Homeland Security, high-tech weapons for crowd dispersal, high-tech ghost cities in China and global warming...or climate change, or whatever the media will be calling it in the future.  

Somewhat surprisingly, a scientist has come out and publicly stated that H.A.A.R.P. is responsible for the Japanese earthquake, but I'll leave that for you to ponder.  Regardless, the disaster is helping to propel us quicker into renewable energy, which just doesn't work on a mass scale. But be careful who you argue with online, because the Pentagon claims it's just now infiltrating social media sites around the world with "sock puppets" to coerce online opinion.  A terror drill in a sleepy little Iowa town has sparked controversy.  Is anywhere safe?  I would advise prayer to your God, but it seems religion is dying in some countries around the world.  I wonder what will replace it?  Banks are now spending money to knock down homes they can't sell and the EU is proposing a ban on all gas and diesel vehicles by 2050.  The plan is speeding right along, it seems.
