Sometimes we put undue pressure on ourselves to perform what we think God's standards are. It's actually pretty simple. God says to love Him with all our mind, body and soul and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. If we do this, all the rest will come into alignment.

Last week we got the privilege of receiving a tour of Vertava Health out at Atwood lake area. They have experience in treating veterans. They are not a hospital; they have residential and outpatient treatment locations that create a safe and comfortable environment for Veterans to work through their substance abuse and mental health challenges. Also, and this is key, they are privately funded so they have "Jesus programs" if you so choose.

This week God has been talking to me a lot and showing me our place in the Kingdom. It's so exciting to see what's in store for us when we get there!

In Ephesians, Paul tells us about the glory of the inheritance we have in Christ. It reveals God's intentions for the church body creating oneness between Jew and Gentile by equipping, empowering and maturing His people that we would extend Christ's victory over evil. 

Why do we do the stupid things we do? In life, more importantly, in our recovery, we all need someone to hold us accountable. To walk beside us and to tell us that we're messing up. That is the true meaning of God's Love! We are our brother and sisters' keeper. To have the confidence, to step out in faith to correct them when we see our battle buddy struggling. Just as our father (God) does for us. We work as a team to build each other up in love. Sometimes love is a harsh word.
