Ah, yes, THE numbers. Hurley's first flashback episode (finally!) gives us six numbers that dramatically shape the show forever, and add a new segment to the podcast. Without a doubt, is it one of the most crucial (and fun) episodes of the first season. Jin also fills in the blanks of the first flashback episode with Sun and himself, and wouldn't ya know it? Not all is what it seems! After this week, no episode of From Broadcast Depth will be the same again.

We take a look back at Charlie's attempt to settle down and come clean and why that went awry. Then, Sawyer travels to Australia in the hunt for the man who killed his daddy, and ends up breaking liquid bread with somebody else's daddy. Josh Holloway gives a breakout performance in one of the best episodes of the season.

Episode 9: 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'

Despite some audio issues and a format that really got away from them, your favourite Brit duo were able to review one of the best received Marvel movies to date and even weigh in on the 'Who is the best Chris?' debate for good measure.

Four survivors get their first flashback treatment this week! Not all is what it seems when Boone goes to "save" Shannon from an abusive boyfriend in the Outback, nor is all what it seems when he rescues her from a boar attack in the jungle. We discover what led to Michael and Walt reuniting and some of the strange activity that has occurred in Walt's life, and more on the comic book with the polar bear.

Yaaaawn. That's right, despite a few amazing isolated moments, this film is a bit of a drag, but Ben & Matt will do their best to keep you awake throughout. Featuring background on the tumultuous production, some fun musings and looks forward and back. Thor!

Jack becomes the first character to receive a second flashback as we explore how he and his father clashed professionally and the issues it caused between them. Boone and Locke also make a major discovery in the jungle. Unfortunately, for those who waited an entire month to find out what that was on the next episode, they would be let down with the worst episode of the first season and no further explanation as to what that discovery was. At least the music at the end is good? We're halfway done with Season One!

Prepare yourself for the greatest defence of this movie ever mounted. That's right, the two annoying Brits LIKED the third Iron Man. You know what else? They LOVED the Mandarin stuff! What a world.

Two crucial episodes of Season 1 are discussed on this week's From Broadcast Depth. The survivors discover first hand that they aren't the only ones on the island, as Sayid is captured by the mysterious Rousseau, and the others discover an impostor among them with ulterior motives.
