This was an absolute banger of an episode to record! I had the privilege of getting Dr. Matthew Everhard (D.Min in Jonathan Edwards) all the way from the USA to speak on the life and ministry of the great American Puritan Theologian, Pastor, Revivalist Jonathan Edwards. This conversation was such a huge blessing to me and I am certain that it will be for you as well. May our lives continue to conform to Christ and may our affections for Him and His finished work ever increase.
You can follow and subscribe to Matthew's Youtube channel @Matthew Everhard.
Dr. Matthew Everhard is an ordained Presbyterian minister in the PCA, and a Jonathan Edwards scholar. He is Pastor of Gospel Fellowship PCA, North of Pittsburgh.

Why should Christians baptize their infants and children? Is this practice merely a result of blind tradition or a hidden love for Roman Catholicism? Or perhaps, is it something the Bible actually teaches from Old to New Testaments? In this episode I will argue from Scripture why I believe this is what God has decreed for His church to practice, take comfort in, and to enjoy the riches of His promises made to His beloved Bride - The Covenant People of God.

In this episode I respond to a recent video which showcased the theological views of Kong Hee, one of Singapore's most famous "pastors" on the subject of Calvinism and Arminianism. If you want a more in-depth explanation of Calvinism itself, you can tune in to my TULIP series on this podcast. In this episode, I will focus more on pointing out how the Arminian position as put forth by people like Kong Hee is heavily inconsistent with the Biblical teaching of Scripture with regards to the Will of Man, the Predestinating work of God, and other things related to Salvation. I do this because I think the belief that Kong Hee represents is the same belief that is held by many Singaporean Christians today which is of great concern, and I pray that this response to Kong Hee will encourage more discussions and research on this important Biblical doctrine! May all of our doctrine be conformed to the Scriptures, and that they may indeed be God-glorifying and not man-glorifying.

Continuing in our series about what it means to be Reformed, David and I discuss what is Covenant Theology and why this is such a central aspect to all of Biblical Theology and crucial to understanding God's redemptive purposes in history. Does God have multiple plans or one plan of salvation? Does God have one people or two separate distinct peoples? Can God fail in keeping any of His promises? Join us in this episode where we discuss this important topic in detail!

Continuing in the series of "What does it mean to be Reformed?" In this episode we talk about what it means to be "Confessional". Being a "Confessional Christian" seems to be a lost pursuit in today's day of "Minimalistic Christianity". What does it mean to be a "Confessional Christian"? Why identify with a denomination? Aren't Christians supposed to just be focused on being united? Why subscribe to a particular confession/creed of faith? Shouldn't the Christian life be just me and my Bible?
I am delighted to have Mark from the Full Metal Calvinists podcast "@fmcalvinists on Instagram" to join me on this episode where we discuss the importance of having a robust historic Christian foundation, and why that is so incredibly vital in today's age of theological minimalism and shallow evangelicalism.

Why do I even call this podcast "The REFORMED Singaporean"? What does it mean to be a "Reformed" Christian? What are the roots of our faith?
In today's episode, I kick off a short series of episodes talking about the background of how we got here today as the Singapore church, along with what we can be doing better, which starts off by recovering a deep, profound, zealous love for God and His Word. Ever wondered about the historicity of the Christian faith? Ever wondered how one can learn more about the deeper things of Christianity as revealed in the Bible? Tune in to this episode!!!

This is easily one of the MOST important questions any Christian could (and should) be asking. What seems to be a simple fundamental skill that is possessed by everybody is actually a detrimental inability to read, interpret and apply Scripture properly. One of the results of our increasingly biblically illiterate church of today is the lack of understanding as to how one should read their Bible. Join me on this episode as I walk through the important steps of reading every and any part of Scripture! There can be nothing more fundamental to the Christian than understanding and applying this correctly.

The most fundamental questions about life, faith and everything deal with Theology. Who is God? What is He like? What is He not? Everything about Christianity starts with Theology. Our understanding of Theology determines our understanding of everything else. New to the podcast? Unsure about where to begin? Unsure about where to start learning about Christian theology in general? Then this episode would be good for you!
Welcome to the New Year everyone! Hard to believe six months have already passed since I started this podcast. Thank you everyone for all your support thus far and for listening to my content! I pray that this podcast will continue to glorify God and sanctify His church one step at a time for the rest of 2021. Soli Deo Gloria!

It is the season to be jolly! A very blessed Christmas to one and all. As we think about Christmas and the message of Christ's birth into this world 2000 years ago, what do we think about the work He came to accomplish? Many of us Christians today, while we may have a fairly orthodox message of Christmas in that, Christ came into the world to save sinners, I'm afraid that often times we mistake that story to be the only reason why Christ's birth is to be celebrated. Come and find out more in this episode where I share from Scripture why the coming of the Messiah was so highly expected in the first century, and why His reign and rule over all things ought to inspire and encourage us to live for His glory in all areas of life!

Did God really create men & women to be equal in every sense and in every measure? No. He did not. In fact, He did them better. Come and find out why the simple truth about God, men, women and gender (in a Complementarian sense) is clear in the Scriptures and how we ought to be on guard in today's world where this foundational understanding gets distorted and twisted into something else altogether!
I also provide a small life update as well as some technical updates which you will hear for yourself (or perhaps even see for yourself if you find out how, hurhur). Enjoy!!!
