Rosie and Stephen join me in this episode to explore the road into regenerative agriculture, the discoveries and learnings of farming regeneratively and how to start. We get dirty with the insects, critters and systems within nature that ecosystems are built off, and how conventional farming acts almost in complete opposition to that.
Rosie, a mom, wife, and farmer, began with no farming experience. When climate change seriously threatened her waterways and livelihood she had to experiment and learn how to work with nature to restore the land. The result is a deep practical knowledge of how to work with nature to produce amazing food from the ground up.
Stephen Curtain, a cinematographer, director, and editor associated with Regenerate Earth (https://regenerate-earth.org/), brings extensive experience from his work with the BBC in natural sciences and ecology. His passion for the planet has driven him to communicate the basics of ecology, from a global scale down to the microscopic, aiming to empower communities worldwide.
“Organic is too expensive and untrustworthy” is a common remark I hear at the supermarket. This episode deep dives into the real difference between organic and non-organic foods and how it affects you and your health. There is a lot of confusion and resistance to organic and people are rightfully worried about the green washing that seems to surround anything ‘natural’. I bring my experiences having been an organic farmer onto the table to try to find the truth about organic food.

In this episode, we explore what soil is, what's happening within it, and why this matters to you. We'll uncover the importance of having food grown in healthy soils and explain how your health and vitality are linked to the life of the soil. I'll delve into the reasons behind 'dead' soils and what this means for our climate and the Earth. Moreover, we'll discuss how modern diseases such as depression, insomnia, autism, cancer, and endometriosis might be rooted in the degradation of soil caused by current farming practices.
This first podcast explores my journey into health and regenerative agriculture.
From starting out as a girl from the city in Germany to having a clinic nestled in the heart of Australia and breeding cattle, I’ve seen the health of both animals and especially people deteriorate at an alarming rate.
This podcast aims to connect the dots between food, health, and climate to address this and bring some hope into the issues that we are facing.
