In this episode, I'm joined by my friend Carol. A resilient spirit who courageously recalled details of the abuse she observed and survived as a child. Her story compels us to try to understand and recognize a child's response when they don't have the words to express the trauma they've experienced. She bravely shares how she has advocated for herself by facing people in her life who perpetuated patterns of abuse. Carol shared that she continues to work on recognizing patterns that show up in her adult relationships. Take a listen to Carol and she shared that she's constantly working to be her best self.
In this episode, Jeannie courageously recalls life-altering decisions that led to separations, divorce, dating after divorce, death, loss, learning to be content, and taking time to heal. Jeannie shared the time she received devasting news from her doctor that resulted in her shopping for a burial plot and picking out an infant coffin after. Her road to healing has been long-fought and ongoing. She tells her story of survival, transformation, and motherhood in an effort to encourage women to be ok with leaving, asking for help, and take time to heal.
Our friend and special guest, Jeannie Kidwell joined us to share her story of self-discovery and learning to make herself a priority along her healing journey. Take a listen as Jeannie boldly and courageously tells her story in two parts, as our special guest on the Awakening The Warriors Podcast. We love her transparency and thought-provoking delivery of the lessons she's learned from growing up in a strict but supportive Christian household, life after three divorces, infidelity, and learning when to walk away. Jeannie shares that she had to make a decision that being in an unhealthy relationship for the sake of being in a relationship was not enough.
