In the Gospel of John, Jesus comforts his disciples by promising to prepare a place for them in his Father's house. To understand the significance of this promise and its connection to the gospel message, it is important to examine the Jewish marriage customs of biblical times. Throughout the Bible, God uses this analogy to explain his relationship with his followers and the significance of his sacrifice. This episode aims to change your perspective on marriage and the gospel message forever.

Do you believe that God communicates with us outside of the Scriptures? With so many Christians claiming to have received personal messages, nudgings, leadings, and whispers from God, it can be challenging to reconcile these claims with the Bible. How can we distinguish between fact and fiction and confidently address these claims with our loved ones? When many in the pulpit and throughout the evangelical church assert that "you must listen for the voice of God," where can Christians turn for answers?

In this episode, we will explore the topic of hearing from God and whether or not He speaks outside of the Scriptures. Our guest, Pastor, and Author Jim Osman, will help us navigate this compelling topic and answer these difficult questions. Join us as we examine whether God communicates truth and expresses His will to us without using the Bible, using the Word of God as our guide.

Salvation is not self-punishment, fasting, pain infliction, or meditation. It is not living a good life - Loving others, acts of service, charity, or abstinence from sin. Salvation is not denying sin, claiming to be saved, or pretending to be. Salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned by good deeds or simply being a good person. In this episode, we will call upon various texts in the Bible and open up your understanding of true biblical faith and the assurance God is granting you of his eternal presence in heaven instead of just hoping to make it on your own.

Sin wages war against the members of our bodies. Often it is the source of quarrels and conflicts in many of our lives. It impairs our judgment and motives and causes us to desire what God does not will for our lives as we seek the things that do not endure and draws us further from God. The scriptures speak purposefully and declare that friendship with the world is hostility toward God. As we each face our struggles, balancing strong emotional attachments with the world and those deep and intimate longings for the things of God do not come naturally. In this episode, we look to the scriptures and teach you how God’s grace is sufficient to prepare you to receive the grace that saves our lives and transforms our motives toward desiring God.

Love is an essential and vital part of life, and we spend a lot of time and energy trying to find or define it. But before we look for love in all the wrong places, we must understand what the Bible says about it. According to the scriptures, one of the tests of our faith is how we love. In this episode, we explore how God is love, and if we love one another, it shows that we have been born of God and understand what true love is. God's love for us is perfect, and if we want to love others as God does, we need to learn to love with the same unconditional and perfect love.

Understanding what the book of Genesis says about the origin of all things is foundational to understanding the Bible. If chapters 1 and 2 of Genesis are not the truth about the beginning of all things, how can we believe the rest of the scriptures? Especially when the New Testament claims that our creator is also our redeemer. Because if God is not our creator, how can he be our redeemer?

In an "evolving world," defending the Christian worldview is not easy, and many Christians lack the knowledge and confidence to mount a vigorous defense of the Bible. Unfamiliarity with God's Word and what it says about how everything came to be is not a justification for a retreat from the battlefield of ideas.

In this episode, our guest Dr. Terry Mortenson (from Answers in Genesis), will join us for an insightful discussion on how scriptures answer the many questions that a surprising number of Christians have about creation. Worldly ideas that contradict God's Word do not need to be a source of fear and confusion. The scriptures have the answers you need to have understanding and confidence in the only book that the creator of the universe authored just for us - The Bible.

After his completed work on the cross and before he ascended to his father in Heaven, Jesus Christ commanded his disciples to:

“…go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15) and “…to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, teaching them all that I commanded you…” (Matt. 28:19)

This commission is a mandate for all his followers, past and present. However, spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ does not come without opposition. Christ said that many false teachers would come with a false gospel and deceptive notions of who he was and deceive many.

In this episode, we diligently search the Bible to test those deceptive spirits that continue to deceive many in the church today with a different gospel and a Christ not found in the scriptures.

There are many Christians who struggle with the question of losing their salvation. It’s undoubtedly a contentious topic within the church but an important one to address. If you are a new or mature Christian concerned about your eternal security in Christ - you are not alone. In this episode, Christian and I are joined by our guest co-host, Curt Blattman, as we look to the Bible for answers to this controversial question so that you will not stumble over God’s plan for your life but rest assured in his promises and provision.

Our Guest Bio: Curt Blattman

Hello. My name is Curt Blattman. I grew up and have spent my whole life living in New York City. I am 69 years old and am married to the love of my life, Meiying. I have one daughter, Desirae, who is 37 years old and lives and works in New Jersey.

Back around 1980 I started on an intense quest to find out what the purpose of life was. I was an atheist back then but after being exposed to the gospel message of Jesus I began to realize that I was a sinner and after six months of learning more about God, on October 12, 1981, I gave my heart to Jesus.

Today, 40 years later, I have grown so much in my love of the Lord. My first career was as a banker at JP Morgan Chase. My second career was as a counselor at the Bowery Mission. And now my third career is as a traveling apologist.

I have an Economics degree from Princeton University, an MBA in Finance from New York University, and a master’s degree in Apologetics from Biola University.
