In addition to being the CEO of this company, Sarah is also a 12-time mid-America Emmy award-winning storyteller with VR work that spans 5 continents. We introduce Diego Galicia, a videographer who works for Mizzou Athletics and the Kansas City Chiefs. Diego discusses making connections in the creative space, interactions with athletes, and gives advice for aspiring video editors. He's got some awesome stories that we loved hashing out with him, including a time when his boss with the Chiefs got him out of an exam. His humility and personality make them even more enjoyable to hear.
The Link is a new series that the RYP has been working on this semester. The goal of The Link is to bridge passion with reality. We want to present subjects who are using their natural gifts to create massive opportunities for themselves.
Our second episode features Patrick Scott, a local musician in Columbia. Scott discusses the formation of his sound, as well as the experience of building a following from almost nothing. The story of his rise is one that most people can relate too. He also adds how drugs have both helped and hurt him during his journey. Enjoy!

Kyle took his interest in broadcasting, improv, and creative writing to mold himself into a candidate that got hired at one of the most prestigious agencies in Chicago. Our Student Series seeks to impart practical knowledge for Mizzou students trying to build their leadership skills through the University. This episode features a double-header. Our second episode features our very own Madison Koble, the president of the Digital Story Telling Club. We are biased, but we think she is an incredible human being. She talks with Garrett Tiehes about staying motivated, how to stay "sane," and staying passionate in the face of adversity. We introduce a new segment of The RYP: The Fade, a barbershop style conversation that centers on telling the stories of athletes around Mizzou's campus.
The Fade has a duel purpose. We want to introduce the athletes we interview as the people that they are. We want to give you the ability to connect to them as individuals to inspire more reason to cheer for them on the court. Secondly, we would like to present the lessons that they have learned through the process of becoming D1 athletes. In this episode, we talk to Torrence Watson, Mitchell Smith, and Javon Pickett. We discuss about the importance of having solid adult mentorship, such as Cuonzo Martin. We also solidify plans for the future album "Monkey Bars." Thanks for listening.
For this episode of the Relevant Youth Podcast, we sit down with Evelyn Magley, the first African-American and woman to own a professional sports league. She is joined by her husband and former National Basketball League of Canada commissioner David Magley. Together, they’ve created The Basketball League, an 11-team professional basketball league throughout the United States. The Basketball League is truly unlike any other, and will strive to put the community first, as well as providing high-level entertainment. This episode of the podcast will provide an exclusive look inside this up-and-coming, ground-breaking professional basketball league.
