We all have them.  They aren't special.  But we spend a lot of time running and hiding from them.  I've learned (the hard way) that it doesn't work.

We all have stuff that is worth letting go. Here's a simple story to help remind us.

Every day, every step is a challenge to be better, if we choose.  Simple but not easy.  And almost impossible if we aren't honest with ourselves. We could've chopped it up for a few more hours.  So much we didn't even touch on.  Here's the point.  Life is going to knock you down. While I was recording last week's episode I thought about my long time friend, Jon.  He's the epitome of doing what you love.  He's also made a living out of it.  That's not to say it still isn't work.  He's put in a lot of time and energy to get to where he's at.  He shares his insight on the jump from hobby to day job and some good stories in between.  Enjoy.

My brother has been drumming since as early as I can remember.  We are now pushin' 50 and he's still doing it.  Why?  Because he loves it.  Period.  He recognized something he was passionate about and pursed it.  We all can do that.  What's stopping you?  Chances are, nothing except excuses.

You never know who's watching.  Be mindful of that because you may be impacting someone without even knowing it.

Sometimes that's how we treat life.  Like it's just a flip of the coin.  Like we don't have a say in what the little voices in our heads try to convince us of.  We don't have to listen to the they tell us.

It's easy to feel like life owes us something, it doesn't.  We owe life.   Jeff and his mindset reminds me of that every day.  Act without expectation.
