Oh, the zit.  The big, juicy, ugly zit. What are you gonna do about it?

Life gives us opportunites every single day to either play the victim or to take ownership and play our hand (either crappy or not) the best way we can.   Life also allows us to live in in reverse or forward.  Take your pick.

We were lucky enough to have Jake Sumner on our basktball team back in the day and I was fortunate to be his coach. The toughness and perserverance he brought to the team was pricelss.   I'm still lucky because I get to draw on memories of him showing up getting the job done no matter the obstacles in his way as I try to teach my little daughter those same qualities.  Thank you for the impact Ditka!

We all have memories etched in our heads.   Embrace them.

Life presents us with plenty of opportunites to show up and rise to the occasion.  Some answer that call while others ignore it.  Some compete while others shy away.  It's easy when you know your chances are good.  But how about when you're the underdog?  When you're backs up against the wall?

We often times forget how special things can be until they are gone. Embrace the moment.

Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your support.  We all have something to be grateful for, today is a great day to remember that.
