Is there value to building a community for the reluctant entrepreneur?
Community, support, networking, friends, peer groups. All different names for the structures we build or create around us to help us get our business off the ground. In this episode, we explore two sides of building community—how to start building if you don’t have it, and if you don’t believe this is necessary, the case to start investing in support from the beginning of your journey.
Diana shares her experience with rebuilding Hawthorne Union’s community after relocating. Jacen shares his experience working with clients who have support but are hesitant to ask for what they need.
In this episode we referenced:
· “Many hands make light work,” is a classic English proverb.
· Hawthorne Union Resources
· An ICF Chapter, is a local gathering of professional coaches in major regions.
· Chamber of Commerce is a government entity that supports business owners, and in this episode, we refer to utilizing your local city chamber of commerce.
