In this episode we start our study in 2 Peter Chapter 1.
There is a richness here in this letter that is not obvious to the causal reader, but we aren't going to just glance at it, we are going to stare intently at these passages and find the treasure that Holy Spirit has just beneath the surface for those who care enough to dig for it.


These passages will change you as man and once you see what is hear, you may never be the same.
At Least, I pray you aren't

Jesus gave Simon, the Son of Jonah; one us his disciples that was in His Inner Circle, the Nickname Petra or Rock.

The man's life and his Witness of the Life and Story of Jesus is POWERFUL and he has tremendous insight from the perspective of a man who also had some MONSTER failures.

His insight into being transformed into a Bold, Fearless, Sold-Out follower of Jesus is the next stop for us on our discussion on transformation.

I pray Holy Spirit gives, you ears to hear, A heart to understand and a Spiritual Nose to SMELL what the ROCK's Been Cooking.

Mission:
Every man desires a Mission. 

We are HARDWIRED for it and we thrive when we are On Mission.
Mission has the Power to Transform Us, because Mission drives Passion, which Drives Action and Engagement AND when you are actively engaged in a Mission that is greater than you and inspires you, YOU BECOME UNSTOPPABLE!

The Apostle Paul challenges us as believers to adopt the attitude of a Living Sacrifice to God, which he says is our Reasonable or Logical response to God considering all he has done for us in and through Christ Jesus.

Evangelist D.L. Moody once comment that the problem with Living Sacrifices is....They Keep Crawling Off The Altar.

I'm Guilty of this in my past as I was struggling in my faith walk with Jesus and I have seen countless men and women struggle this same way.

There is a cure though and I'm gonna share it with you this Episode.

There was a time when I was not a big Star Wars fan but a former pastor of mine worked hard to help me see the light or should I say experience the Force LOL!

When God made the First man Adam, he formed him from the Earth, the Dirt.

We are at our core, still Dirt and God is still in the business of shaping &  molding this Dirt.
 
God is the Potter and we are the Clay, but not every clay is suitable for shaping. Most clay needs so prep work before it can be formed into a useful vessel.

When a man starts to be transformed by the Gospel, his Dirt, The Soil of his Heart as Jesus called it ....is tested.
What condition your Dirt is in becomes important to the process of transformation.

Today, we will learn to recognize the 4 possible conditions of Dirt and how those conditions react to the transformation God offers.
