Understanding the depth of God's love for us will propel us to experience the abundance of His provision.

God's love for us is linked to His provision for us. What Father would not provide for his own? And what about God? He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us, how will He not also along with Him freely give us all things (Romans 8:32)?

In this episode we take a look at the impact God's love can have on our life.

We consider three things:

1) Contending for faith in His love

Jude 1:3 says we are to contend earnestly for the faith. Faith in what? Faith in the love He has for us as His children.

2) How the Holy Spirit is the great revealer of the Father's love for us.

This is Holy Spirit's role is to teach us and lead us into God's love for us. 1 Corinthians 2:12 says "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."

3) God’s abundant provision flows from knowing the abundance of God's love.

Knowing the depth of God’s love will cause us to have faith and provoke us to ask and expect BIG things from God. The fullness of God’s love is His limitless supply for our every need.

2 Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him

If our whole heart is loved by the Father than our whole life will be entrusted to Him. The degree with which we let Him love our whole heart is the degree to which we will love Him with our whole heart.

As we grow up into Him and receive His divine love for every part of our heart this will cause us to ask and receive His divine provision for every area of our life.

Our mission is to become like Christ, that’s the goal of every Christian. In this episode we look at how guarding our heart makes us more like Jesus.

There are 3 things we can do:

1) Look at our roots

Colossians 2:6-7 NKJV

[6] As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, [7] rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

What we choose to hear and choose to believe will affect our growth

Colossians 2:8-10 NKJV

[8] Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. [9] For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; [10] and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

Are we hearing and believing the gospel of Jesus Christ or are we hearing and following traditions of men?

2) Admit we need help

No one was born knowing how to take care of a garden, we all needed help to learn how.

How much more do we need help to take care of our hearts?

3) Let Jesus love our whole heart

Prov 4:23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

Keeping our heart does not mean keeping it from Him.

To love the Lord our God with all our heart we need to know He loved it all first

1.     Focus on the input.

2.     God is the master heart surgeon.

3.     God is the performer.

In our Sunday teaching, we have been looking at the Father’s heart for us. In this episode, we will be looking at the principle that the Father’s heart for us is only known by seeing who Christ is and what He has done for

John 14:8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

The original word used for seen in Greek is horáō, which properly means "to see with the mind" (i.e. spiritually see), to perceive (with inward spiritual perception).

Jesus is the revelation of the Father's heart for us. To see Jesus is to see the Father, but to truly see Jesus we need to perceive who He really is and what the Father did in giving Him up for us. Through faith in the cross we are to have no more consciousness of sin, join us to find out more.

1 John 4:10 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

Christianity is not just about salvation and making it to heaven, but an invitation to know God as Father, as Daddy, or as the bible says Abba, Father.

There are many versions of the gospel in the world today, but there is only one true gospel of grace, and it is the only way to see the real Jesus. The degree to which we see Jesus is the degree and speed to which we are transformed into His glorious image, so we keep the gospel of grace at the centre of all we do.

Galatians 1: 6-8 “I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7which is not even a gospel… 8But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse!”

2 Corinthians 11: 3–4 “But I fear that somehow your pure and undivided devotion to Christ will be corrupted, just as Eve was deceived by the cunning ways of the serpent. 4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.” NLT

So what is the true gospel

Galatians 3:1 “O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified?”

The Galatians were turning away from the gospel of grace, believing there were other things they needed to do to approach God, to receive from Him, or to be made right with Him.

Verse 2 “This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?”

The true gospel is a gospel of faith.

Verse 3 “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?”

The story of the prodigal son shows us three pictures of the type of gospel we are believing.

1.       Are you trying to play with the pigs still, bringing sin to the Father’s house? Are you wasteful with your time and resources?

2.       Are you in the field working for God, far from His heart?

3.       Or are you truly at home with your Father? Intimate with, comfortable in His presence.

As you see Jesus you become more like Him: who is Jesus but the Son of God. We are to become like Jesus, like Jesus is with His Father.

The Father wants to be as close to you as He is to His Son Jesus. 

Our vision is to restore the glory of God to the church and fill the world with the knowledge of Him. In this episode we take a look at how we would do this and why?

Restoring God's glory to our lives can seem a bit abstract, but this teaching helps us to understand what to focus our time and attention on.

We all know things are broken. God created us to display forth His splendour, He created us for His glory - but why aren't things working out like that?

As we pursue God's glory in the person of Jesus, He changes us from one degree of glory to another to become ever more like Him. We start to look in this episode at how God helps us to rebuild not only our lives, but the lives of those around us.
