  • Cool Climate Wines with a focus on Denmark

Today, I bring you a fascinating conversation with three winemakers: Jacob Bruun-Jensen from Dyrehøj Vingaard, Kim Thrysøe from Guldbæk Vingård, and Helle Stokkebye from Stokkebye Vineyard, as we dive into the world of cool climate wines, with a special focus on Danish wines.

We discussed the definition of these cool climate wines, the challenges they face, the issue of brand awareness, how they are perceived by the trade and by consumers, as well as the evolution of the wine market in Denmark and the country’s positioning. We even had the chance to mention the upcoming Cool Climate Wine Summit in Copenhagen, taking place in January 2026.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the Prowein team for providing the recording studio at the fair for this special episode.

  • Classics, Unmissable Events, and a Few New Ideas to put in Your Agenda for 2025

There are many retail events in our region and as many of you know, the trade show is in my opinion a very efficient media for networking, doing business and discover the trends of a sector.

Yearly I attend quite a lot of conferences, seminars and tradeshows. And over the years, during my visits and discussions with retail professionals, two recurring questions always come up:

    • The first one : “Hey Vincent, which trade fairs should I attend, or which ones are worthwhile?”

    • And the second question comes after my visits to any tradeshow, it is: “So Vince, what interesting things did you see?”

This post focuses on answering the first of these questions. So, without further ado, here’s a selection of the unmissable events for the year 2025: Eurocis, Shoptalk, Shop! and Anuga
