The Transportation Electrification Partnership led by Los Angles Cleantech Incubator is proposing a $150 billion Federal stimulus package for the cleantech sector. It will probably not see the first penny from the Feds, but it’s still good news.

Wow! What a busy start to the week. I don’t know about you, but mine has been full of misadventure and tomfoolery. The bright spot is that I may have a trophy in my future.

Another driving around episode where I unpack my thoughts; since yesterday’s episode on the NRECA EVSE study, I have been thinking about Co-ops and their lack of knowledge about EVs. Don’t get me wrong, some people in the cooperative community are highly knowledgeable, but many aren’t. It’s time to become educated- for ourselves, our members and the community-at-large.

The NRECA commissioned another study to look at pilot EVSE and load control projects in South Carolina and Delaware. A summary of the study can be found here.

Gas prices right now have deflated my cost justifications for operating an EV in small-town America, but nothing lasts forever and EVs, in my opinion are inevitable but maybe not to the degree I would like to see.

I drove my i3 to Somerset on Tuesday which is about 36 miles west of London. I knew the trip would push the battery range to the limit and be at conducted at highway speeds which would kick the REx into gear. Thanks for listening.
