One of the main tenets of the Pre-trib rapture theory, is that the Holy Spirit is the restrainer mentioned in 2 Thessalonians 2. According to their "theory" the Holy Spirit is the only possible option that can hold back the revealing of the Anti-christ. Since, as they claim, the Holy Spirit is the restrainer that must be "removed before the anti-christ can be revealed, and since the Spirit is resident in the Church, to them this is proof that the Church will  also be removed or raptured before the anti-Christ be revealed.
