I was working out with Mr. Universe, Mike O'Hearn.

When I was a kid, I had to walk past this other kid's house. 

He was bigger. 

2 years older. 

And most times, he whipped my ass. 

He was a bully. 

I'd fight him, but it wasn't enough.

Let's talk about the big pink elephant in the room. 

Making money. 

Everything you have begins and ends with your mindset. 

I was always chasing the money in my early days. 

One million dollars was what I wanted to earn. 

I thought, if I could just earn a million dollars, life would be great. 

But I was looking at it wrong. 

I was looking at the million and not focusing on what it took to get to the million. 

One day, it clicked.  

How much would I have to make monthly? 

$83,333.33 per month. 

Then, I took it down even further to what I'd have to earn daily. 

$2,739.73

I like to round things up, so call it $3,000. 

When I uncovered this simple shift in my mindset about how I think about money, things changed. 

I earned $2 million in 2016. 

The way you think about things will change the results you get in your life. 

Focus on the small, daily steps you need to take. 

Elephants don't get eaten in one bite. 

Be consistent. 

Work hard. 

Don't you quit!

I spent most of my life chasing money. 

I started at 13 selling car washes for Mighty Fine Car Washes in Plano, Texas. 

I'd get a quarter for every one I sold. 

I did a great job and was offered a job to sell drugs. 

When I got out of jail, I went back to the car wash and was offered a job as a banker.

I kept chasing the money. 

I went to prison again. 

I got out and finally got out. 

I was morally and financially bankrupt.

Chase the vision. 

Your talent for teaching. 

Speaking.

Sales. 

Dancing. 

Singing. 

Whatever it is, chase that vision that keeps showing up in the back of your head. 

When I stopped chasing the money and started chasing the vision, I started to become who I was supposed to be. 

About 5 years ago, I started to become the most elite version of myself and kept chasing the vision. 

I'm still on the chase to the most elite version of myself. 

Chase the vision.
