On this week's episode of the #EShow, we head to Rhode Island for the next edition of the summer coaches' series with James Mello from H.C. Rhode Island. Coming off of the best season in franchise history, Mello is looking forward to the challenge of raising the bar even higher this upcoming year, all while entering the new season with a new target on their back. Mello knows that there are many teams that will be looking to knock them off this year, as HCRI has quickly established themselves as an annual contender for the Regional Finals. With a strong core returning to the program, including Aidan Forcier, the Co-Rookie of the Year from the 2025-26 season, the goal of course is to get back to the Regional Finals and then advance past that stage to reach the EHL Frozen Finals for the very first time. To go along with the victories on the ice, it's also important to note the advancement victories, as in just four seasons, HCRI has already helped 25 players move on to NCAA hockey.
