On this week's episode of the #EShow, we shift back to Massachusetts for the next edition of the summer coaches' series with Nic Cota from the Express Hockey Club. Coming off of another strong campaign in the EHL, Cota has hit the off-season running, looking to build further on the annual success that they've produced out of Walpole. Year in and year out, the Express are consistently in the ballpark of 30+ victories, to go along with double-digit NCAA Commitments. This on-ice success translates into the Express having established itself as annual contender each and every year to advance to Providence, RI, and the EHL Frozen Finals. In order to maintain that level this upcoming season, Cota is now faced with the challenge of replacing Ville Bodin and his 52 goals from this past season, Lukas Toth and his 29 victories between the pipes, and large group of what was a very deep Express team.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we head to Connecticut for the next installment of the summer coaches' series with Nielsson Arcibal from the Connecticut Nor'Easter. Coming off of his first season in the EHL, Arcibal is enjoying a full off-season while getting prepared for year #2 in the EHL. Looking back on his first campaign, and there was a noticeable improvement in his team's level of play as the season progressed. Connecticut became tougher to play against throughout the 2025-26 season, and gave H.C. Rhode Island a true battle in the Central Division Finals. With a solid core returning, all of whom are looking to build off of the finish they earned, Arcibal and the Nor'Easter have big goals and aspirations set for the year ahead.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we shift back south in the summer coaches' series with Jason Kilcoyne from the New Jersey Bears. A little off a month removed from a deep playoff run, Kilcoyne looks back on the journey his team took to Providence. After claiming the franchise's first playoff victory in game #1 of the First Round against the New Jersey 87's, Kilcoyne and the Bears went on to win their first playoff series, followed by division title over the Philadelphia Hockey Club, and then came out on top over H.C. Rhode Island at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Finals. While New Jersey ultimately fell short to the Seahawks Hockey Club in the last game of the Frozen Finals, it was still a memorable postseason run that the Bears will look to build off of this season, and for years to come. While the victories on the ice are something that New Jersey feels very proud of, it's the NCAA and ACHA placements that set them apart, advancing a double-digit total number of players once again in 2025-26.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we cross off another team in the summer coaches' series with Chris Cerrella from the New Hampshire Avalanche. Following their championship run back in their inaugural season (2017-18), the Avalanche simply haven't skipped a beat throughout their existence in the league. With next year marking one decade in the #EShow, the Avalanche can simply be labeled as the 'marquee franchise' of the EHL and the EHLP. While no team has committed more players to NCAA programs throughout their history, they've also claimed three playoff championships combined between their two teams, to go along with five regular season championships combined between the two levels. The Avalanche have set an incredible pace and established a golden standard as the 'Peak Development' franchise for all of junior hockey on the east coast.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we keep moving through the summer coaches' series with Josh Fusco from the New York Apple Core. Back in the EHL once again, Fusco had previously coached in both Pennsylvania and Maryland, prior to landing this past off-season with New York. Having only ever coached in the South Division, the Central Division brought a change of scenery for the veteran bench boss, but the parity and overall strength of the league has only increased since Fusco's last season spent in the EHL. With now a full off-season to work with, Fusco is looking forward to building off of what he established with the program last year, and continuing to add on to arguably the most historic franchise in the EHL.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we continue along with the summer coaches' series, featuring Bruce Boudreau from the Hershey Cubs. The former NHL player and coach is a co-owner of the Cubs, working alongside his wife Crystal. Also, their son Brady acts as the General Manager, leading an experienced and deep coaching staff. In the interview with Jake, Bruce discusses the decision made by him and his wife to move their teams over to the EHL and EHLP, as the league better aligns with their daily mission as a program. Looking forward, the Boudreau family is excited over the change, and welcomes the challenge of being the 'New Cubs on the Block', all while maintaining their 'players-first' model.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, we kick-off the off-season with the first coach interview, featuring Bill Zaniboni from the Seahawks Hockey Club. Fresh off winning the 2025-26 EHL Championship, Zaniboni talks about the year that was for his program, and all the 'firsts' that his group checked off along the way. With winning the title comes added pressure, and Zaniboni knows the target on their back will be bigger than ever next year, and he and his staff are looking forward to the challenges that will present. Having quickly turned the focus towards recruiting, Zaniboni is looking forward to defending the title, as well as continuing to build off of the tremendous culture his program has created on the Cape.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, hosts Neil and Jake recap the 2026 EHL Frozen Finals, which finished up as arguably the best championship week in the history of the league. With a pair of 'new faces' hitting the ice in the EHL, as well as two 'old dogs' battling it out in the EHLP, this year's Frozen Finals featured a nice blend of something different and unique for the league to showcase in Providence, RI. Ultimately, both series went the distance to game #3, and the 2025-26 season was capped off an epic 'Championship Saturday' this past weekend. It was the Seahawks Hockey Club skating away with their first EHL Championship and the New Hampshire Avalanche following suit at the EHLP level. We would be remised to not give out additional stick taps out to the New Jersey Bears and New Jersey 87's, whom each won on Friday to force each respective series to game #3. That final day was entertaining from start to finish, with adversity at moments, including an accidental fire drill.

On this week's episode of the #EShow, hosts Neil and Jake are joined by Anthony Di Paolo, the play-by-play broadcaster for the New Jersey 87's. Kicking things off with the Around the #EShow segment, Anthony begins by breaking down the action from this past weekend's Mid-Atlantic Regional Finals, which took place at Toyota SportsPlex in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Jake then steps in and follows suit in reviewing what went down at the Northeast Regional Finals at Babson Skating Center in Wellesley, MA. With the conclusion of Regional Finals weekend, the matchups are now set for the Frozen Finals, and the EHL and EHLP returning Providence College for the 7th time. Moving along to the FANtasy Challenge, we crown Jake's college roommate Nick, as the official 'Champion of the Champions', after simply dominating in the regular season and postseason. Last, but not least, we wrap it all up with What to Watch For, continuing with the trend of Jake predicting if each series will go to game #3 at Schneider Arena.

Finally, we put a bow on things with What to Watch For,  as Adam Houli joins the podcast to discuss his experience behind the bench in last year's Regional Finals, and what he'll now be looking for as a scout at this year's Regional Finals.
