Pastor Jason Mayhall leads the teaching, at Redemption Bible Church, of the parable of Lazarus and the rich man found in Luke 16. This is part of the current sermon series entitled "Parable of Jesus," simple stories people can relate to, as a way to illustrate a spiritual truth. In this story, Jesus compared how the rich man lived to how Lazarus lived. When the rich man found himself in Hell and was able to see Lazarus in Heaven, he asked for help but was refused by Abraham. Themes addressed include: Unless you believe in Hell, you will not understand the depth of God's love. A person chooses Hell, it's not something that is done to them. Morality and doing good acts alone is not enough to be granted admission to Heaven. We are all sinners.
