AFC Richmond is stuck in a midseason slump, having tied every game. During a crucial penalty kick, an accident involving the team’s mascot, Earl, leaves Dani devastated and unable to play confidently. Concerned for the team's morale, the management brings in Dr. Sharon Fieldstone, a tough new sports psychiatrist, whose methods challenge Ted’s coaching style. As Dani works to overcome his guilt, Roy adjusts to life after retirement and considers new opportunities, while Rebecca faces a tough decision in her love life. The team navigates these changes, setting the stage for an eventful season two premiere.
