You have been ADOPTED into God’s own family. Please allow this truth to sink deep down in your heart.

(Ephesians 1:3-5 NLT)

3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.  

5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. 

— At first, when a child is adopted into a family, it is difficult for that child to see him/herself as an equal member. The issue is not with the parents. The issue is with the adopted child. This is how it is when we are first adopted in God’s family.

— The parents may say, “You are my son now. I love you no different than I love your brother.” But it takes time for that child to believe it. This is what God tells you. He tells you that He loves you NO LESS than He loves His own Son Jesus. But it takes time for us to believe it!

— At first, the brother goes in the fridge, but the adopted child is afraid to. They feel uncomfortable. They don’t have confidence in their status yet. This is how we feel at first. But we have to grow to the level of confidence God wants us to live with as His SON!

— The brother calls the new home “MY HOUSE.” But at first the adopted boy is not comfortable enough to say the same thing.

But one day, when it really sinks in, the BOY starts living as A SON!

— Not a slave, but a SON!

— Not a servant, but a SON!

— Not a visitor, but a SON!

*** With all the rights and privileges of a SON!

You have been adopted into God’s own family. Embrace it! You are a SON of the Most High God!
