With only a limited number of interaction hours remaining, whose voice should your teen hear louder - yours or that of the culture? We have the mind of Christ and must hunker down and - parent.

Rusty warns us all that even as believers in the finished work of the cross we can still make our way through our days focused on dead things. As we enter 2016, Rusty challenges us all to check our baggage and let the eternal life of God be what we seek.

Motives and attitudes are not always communicated accurately so grace and longsuffering must be exercised both by the sender as well as the recipient. Though developing these skills is a never-ending process, actively applying the Gifts of the Spirit can greatly improve the respect and authority you are granted by others.
