In week #2 of the series Disciple at Ridge Church, pastor Bobby talks about what it means to be called and 4 things that stand in our way of fully pursuing Jesus

The first message in the series focused on two things….1) Jesus and 2) You (us…all of us). Christmas is about Jesus and about us. We would have no Christmas if it wasn’t for my sin. Jesus came to die.We should not talk about just the birth of Christ and leave out the part that Jesus was born so that He could die.When Jesus came, it changed everything. He established a community that was different from any that had ever been seen. We closed our series called Story Tellers with a reflective look at the book of Philippians. A bulk of the message came from Philippians 4, however we touched on all 4 chaptersPaul used the letter to the Philippians to encourage them, so Sunday, I gave Ridge Church 3 encouragements; Be humble servants, be givers and share your stories. It was all taken from the book of Philippians.The best example we have in these encouragements is Jesus. Look to Jesus.I asked 3 questions; 1…Who can you serve NOW? 2…Will your greatest gift this Christmas be to Jesus or will it have a bow on it? 3…Who can you share your story with?-Pastor Bobby Williams

Continued our Story Tellers series in Philippians 3.Used a big hairy church word called sanctification. Sanctification= The journey we are on to be made holy by Jesus, that will not be made complete until the day of Jesus Christ. This Sunday we finished the Dirty, Rotten, Lies series with a message about the lies we hear told about ourselves. It’s the dirtiest, most rotten, lie of all….that you’re not worthy; useless to God, and because of all you’ve done, you’re no longer “qualified”.
