    RIEGL USA’s Division Manager of Airborne Laser Scanning, Michael Sitar, provides an overview on what bathymetry is and why it is important.     Michael Sitar has over 20 years in the LiDAR manufacturing industry. He holds a Technologist diploma from Canadore College in environmental biology technology, a Bachelor of Science from Nipissing University in environmental geography, and a Master of Environmental Science from the University of Waterloo, with an emphasis on Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing.

  • RIEGL RiCAST: RIEGL Terrestrial LiDAR in an Hydroelectrical Power plant in Brazil

    Claudio Avello, South America Partner Development Manager for RIEGL USA, talks with Rogerio Neves, CEO at CPE Technologia. Rogerio has been working at CPE for over 24 years and is a graduate from the Universidad Federal de Mato Gross in Brazil, where he obtained his degree in Business. He also has a postgraduate degree in International Business from Miami University.

    The two chat about a power plant called JIRAU located in the Randonia state in Brazil. This hydroelectric plant was built in 2016, it produces 3,750 MW, and it is the fourth major power plant in Brazil. A RIEGL VZ-100 was used as solution to help 23 surveyor teams.
