Sancista Brujo Luis was born in Massachusettes He was born with "el velo" , the veil, a Caul membrane over his face, which his Grandmother a Medium and Herbalist claimed was a sign he would be a seer. As a child his Grandmother would conduct Sesiones and Veladas, and help him develop his spiritual faculties. In his late twenties he recieved his collares and guerrilleros in Lukumi and later underwent ceremonies in Puerto Rican Sanse and Dominican 21 Divisiones.

 

Sancista Luis holds private Sesiones in his home as well as Misas and Hora Santas throughout Massachusettes and periodically attends Haitian Vodou Fetes in the Boston area. He translated into Spanish a manual on Haitian Vodou titled Ayibobo Gracias Misericordia, and is the author of Luz y Progreso, Light and Progress a Guide For developing Mediums in the Puerto Rican Mesa Blanca tradition.

He is the author or the amaizing book "Light and Progress"- Handbook for the devolping mediums withing the Puerto Rican espiritismo criollo de la mesa blanca.

How would you feel if you found out your ancestor was one of the most notorious serial killers in history?  My guest tonight, Jeff Mudgett lived through that and now has made it his life's mission to find the truth. His great-great grandfather was none other than Herman Webster Mudgett, AKA H.H. Holmes. Holmes began his fascination with torture and murder at a young age. As a child he was taken under the wing of a town doctor who showed him how to disect bodies. He began torturing animals. Some accounts say that he committed his first murder at around 18, others say as young as by age 10. In the late 1800s, that wasn't common. He devised elaborate con schemes to make money for medical school. He built the infamous Chicago Murder Castle and designed it for commiting undetectable murder. He was arrested in 1895 and hung in 1896. 

Jeff has done extensive research into HH Holmes. He is convinced that Holmes is, in fact, Jack the Ripper and has uncovered some amazing circumstantial evidence to back this up. Jeff wrote a book on the subject, called Bloodstains. He is also the star of the History Channel's show, American Ripper.
