His foray into journalism began at a weekly newspaper in the graphic design department before taking a position as a sports reporter and eventually sports editor. Over the last two decades, Chris has worked as a marketing copywriter, and as an editor at three magazines and an online health website. He’s also cofounder of the Fredericksburg Independent Book Festival, an annual event bringing together authors and book lovers.
Never afraid to try new things or blaze unfamiliar paths, Chris has been a radio show cohost; has authored, co-authored, and ghostwritten books; and hosted a podcast for writers for over three years.
When not at his post as editor-in-chief of Ratchet+Wrench magazine, Chris can be found playing retro video games (yes, he can still beat Mike Tyson), spending time outdoors, reading, enjoying his family, or listening to live music at local venues. He lives in Virginia with his wife, Elizabeth; their three children; and their overly active border collie, Ellie.
