The numbers are starting to come in, and Florida is feeling the pain. The Canadian Snowbirds did not come down in droves to Florida this year. In fact, realtors are getting large amounts of requests from Canadians to sell off their winter homes and properties. Canadians are opting for other tropical destinations to spend their winters, such as Mexico and Portugal. There are still a small number of Canadians here for the Winter, but not the numbers we are all so used to seeing. Gov. DeSantis is trying to paint a positive spin that they are still coming here in huge numbers, but the statistics show otherwise.
