Hi everybody and welcome to the right rein podcast. This is episode 1 for all you lucky listeners. My name is Charlie Brister and I am delighted to be hosting this podcast for the Equestrian Hub.

We plan to interview experts in their field, perplexed horse shoppers, adult amateur riders and everyone in between. Out of this I am sure you will find some useful information to help you and your horses.

Deciding on a name was harder than you would think. We wanted something that was not discipline specific, bye bye Half Halt Podcast. In saying that someone will tell me they don’t use reins. Well I am sure they have used reins at some point and the idea is a for us to point them in the right direction when they do use them. If they haven't used reins at all then I would love for them to come on the show!

So who am I and why should you be listening. I have been riding horses all my life. I wasn’t a child prodigy, in fact I didn't even know if I was on the right rein until I was about 17 or so. Look at me now, writing for HorseVibes Magazine, riding horses all day and now the host of a fantastic podcast...
