In our pain and suffering, we've often cried out: "Why me?!" In some of our most honest moments we've doubted the goodness and wisdom of God.
"Why would God allow ... that to happen...?" And more often than not, unless we understand the reason by pain comes into our lives, we can't see how it could ever serve a purpose.
We protest and ask God to give an account for his ways.
This week, Job will be granted that wish - he will be granted an audience. While Job had a litany of questions ready to ask God, it was God that put Job back on his heels and helped him to realise the most important lesson: God is God - Job is not.
