Plus, Tokyo's D.O.G.S. in the Unsigned Artist Spotlight, and Jobee gives his reaction to Howdily Twodily from Ned Flanders-themed grindcore band Okily Dokily.

It's The Ringing Ear's first Punk episode, with special guests Matt Saincome and Bill Conway from The Hard Times! The guys talk about punk that has stood the test of time, focusing on releases from 1989 or before. From household names to more obscure acts to the "word's fattest junkies", the guys talk about what makes punk good. They also talk about nazi punks, "nice guys", straight edge, discover they have some differences of opinion about the Ramones and someone compares Fugazi to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

It's baaaack! The return of the infamous Chef's Choice! Jeff and Jobe play whatever the hell they want, with no topic or theme whatsoever. From the band Jeff wishes would've been huge instead of Coldplay to some of Jobe's New Age bullshit, see what the guys have up their sleeves. They discuss where the line is between being a truly bad person vs. simply an asshole, why junkies always seem to cap their drug habits at $1000 a day, and Jobee's disinterest in Jeff's picks goes full bore. Singers, who needs 'em? Jeff and Jobe discuss some of their favorite instrumental tracks, both from strictly instrumental bands and from bands who gave their vocalists a rest. Jobe gives an extremely lukewarm review to Sistahs from Big Joanie, Jeff tries to understand the band Baroness and the people who like them, Clean Cut in the Unsigned Artist Spotlight, and the guys spend some time talking about smelly ferrets. 

Jeff and Jobe examine their favorite uses of the word "fuck" in popular music. A very appropriate song from Mick Flannery, Jeff discusses Stranger Today by Our Girl and the guys ponder how much their age dictates their taste in new music, and K-GIZZLE in the Unsigned Artist Spotlight.
