While significant progress has been made over the past few decades, women continue to face challenges that hinder their full participation. Maggie unapologetically unveils the truth about unfair stereotypes and the adversities women face in male-centered industries.

Maggie had been an educator for ten years before bravely venturing into the world of business with her husband and their hard-earned savings.

We got the opportunity to listen to Maggie’s story today because she was connected to me by her dad, Dr. Jeff Cornwall. He is an entrepreneurial mastermind and passionate educator. In case you didn’t know, I also got to interview Jeff in a recent Inspired Speaker Series video in The Pond. It was a conversation filled with wisdom about the ins and outs of the business field. He let that entrepreneurial mind shine through!

When there are too many tabs or applications opened, a computer tends to hang. Just like computers, your brain experiences the same thing. Fake news runs rampant in social media, especially now that the elections are dwindling. It would help to be extra vigilant about the information you see and believe in. You need to be aware of suspicious accounts spreading misinformation and trolling. You should seek facts from reliable sources only.

The News Literacy Project or NLP is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 that aims to teach media literacy to the next generation, so they can go out into the world as well-informed, critical thinkers. The NLP not only helps students but also educators. 

With years of experience working in the education sector and fighting for a future founded on facts, Chuck Salter touched on various important topics about disinformation and news literacy. Growing up in a family with a military background, his parents instilled the sense of being of service to people. Chuck took those values as he grew up and made it his life’s mission to combat the spread of fake and biased information.

It took much longer than I expected, but we FINALLY have Brian Massey as our special guest after nine seasons of The Ripple Effect Podcast. 

This man right here is the reason why I got into podcasting. There is no The Ripple Effect Podcast if Brian hasn't injected this tiny idea into my brain.
