Today, we are lucky to have Ben Orlando on the podcast! Ben Orlando is a Therapist, a Podcaster, an Educator, a Writer, and an incredible human being. He received his MFA in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh.
Using podcasts as the medium to express his creativity, Ben Orlando started a podcast called “History Repeating Itself.” In it, he and his co-host, Michelle, uncover the connections between the past and the present, making predictions based on historical patterns and cultural trends.
However, he rediscovered his buried passion for baseball when he started reading fiction novels about it over the summer. Ben traveled back to the good old days of collecting baseball cards and hanging baseball posters on the walls. This led him to create another podcast called “Midnight Library of Baseball.”
As a sport-thusiast, I have been binge-listening and enjoying the calm, chill vibe of his show. Whether you play baseball, are an avid fan, or have a curious itch about this sport, this is the perfect podcast for you!
In this The Ripple Effect Podcast episode, Ben and I took the plunge into the world of baseball by discussing “Field of Dreams,” a 1989 movie based on the novel Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella. The story follows Ray, an Iowa farmer who builds a baseball diamond in his cornfield after hearing a voice say, “If you build it, he will come.” This leads to the emergence of legendary baseball players' ghosts to play the game.
As Ben and I went deep into the “Field of Dreams” rabbit hole, we conversed about family, relationships, and the importance of connecting with your own feelings.
This is something you shouldn't miss!

When you doubt whatever you do and put it out there for the world to know, those doubts are self-fulfilling prophecies. Do you know why? Because there is truth in advertising. What you sell to yourself and the world, that's what they'll buy and believe.
Some people call it "manifestation," and others call it the "Law of Attraction," but it all boils down to the idea that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life. I agree with that.
Not everything is set in stone, but it influences how you act and how others perceive you.
This topic is inspired by someone I know from a while back and reconnected with recently. Who would've thought that a conversation over caramel macchiato would change someone's life?
This episode is brimming with true-to-life stories that demonstrate the power of your thoughts and words. Watch out for these stories! I won't go into too much detail here. Relax, grab a cup of coffee, and listen to the full episode.
I still can't believe we're now on the 9th season of The Ripple Effect Podcast. Whether you're new to this channel or a proud Rippler since day one, I can't thank you enough for being here. This is not false advertising! I truly am grateful.

Our special guest today will make you rethink what women can do and achieve in a male-dominated field, specifically in the construction space. She will surely hook you with her witty responses, empower you with her strong personality, and inspire you with her relatable story.
Ladies and gentlement, meet Maggie Kuyper, the co-founder of Harpeth Painting LLC, a construction business in Nashville, Tennessee. It hasn’t been an easy climb to success. While significant progress has been made over the past few decades, women continue to face challenges that hinder their full participation. Maggie unapologetically unveils the truth about unfair stereotypes and the adversities women face in male-centered industries.
Maggie had been an educator for ten years before bravely venturing into the world of business with her husband and their hard-earned savings.
We got the opportunity to listen to Maggie’s story today because she was connected to me by her dad, Dr. Jeff Cornwall. He is an entrepreneurial mastermind and passionate educator. In case you didn’t know, I also got to interview Jeff in a recent Inspired Speaker Series video in The Pond. It was a conversation filled with wisdom about the ins and outs of the business field. He let that entrepreneurial mind shine through!
For women out there who are having second thoughts about bringing their business ideas to life, this episode will give you the empowerment that you need.

When there are too many tabs or applications opened, a computer tends to hang. Just like computers, your brain experiences the same thing. Cognitive overload or info paralysis happens when you take in too much information than your brain can handle. In today’s media circus, your brain works double-time to separate what’s important from unimportant, the facts from fiction.
Fake news runs rampant in social media, especially now that the elections are dwindling. It would help to be extra vigilant about the information you see and believe in. You need to be aware of suspicious accounts spreading misinformation and trolling. You should seek facts from reliable sources only.
We are all in luck because today, we have Chuck Salter, the President and CEO at The News Literacy Project as our special guest for The Ripple Effect Podcast!
The News Literacy Project or NLP is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 that aims to teach media literacy to the next generation, so they can go out into the world as well-informed, critical thinkers. The NLP not only helps students but also educators.
With years of experience working in the education sector and fighting for a future founded on facts, Chuck Salter touched on various important topics about disinformation and news literacy. Growing up in a family with a military background, his parents instilled the sense of being of service to people. Chuck took those values as he grew up and made it his life’s mission to combat the spread of fake and biased information.
A special thanks to Lorenza Muñoz for this Ripple! I really enjoyed this interview and conversation. I’m talking to an EXPERT here!

In this episode of The Ripple Effect Podcast, Steve dives into the importance of embracing imperfection and understanding that sometimes, "good enough" is exactly what you need to make progress. We often get caught up in the pursuit of perfection, letting fear of not being flawless hold us back. But Steve reminds us that waiting for everything to be perfect can stall our momentum. Instead, focusing on making steady progress, even when things aren’t perfect, can create powerful ripples in your life and the lives of others. Remember, it's not about getting everything right; it's about moving forward.

There are days when you can’t help but feel inexplicably unmotivated like you’re stuck in a cycle of rotten moods. Have you paused and taken a second to look around? It’s probably your home.
It has been proven that what you surround yourself with directly affects your mental health. Research says on average, Americans spend 90% of their time indoors. If your home is cluttered, so is your headspace.
Our minds are taken over by diversions, further shortening our attention span. These affect how we mindfully connect with the people who matter. We got to do something about it.
Today, we will talk about decluttering your home and mind with the most badass coach I’ve ever met– Jennifer Vazquez. This episode is informational yet fun because of Jennifer’s personality.
