In this podcast, we will look at the mighty men of scripture and see how they lived lives not for their own glory, but to the Kavod of Yahweh. The glory of the God of Israel. We have finally made our way to the life of David, but I want us to take a step back today and look at the introduction of Jonathan. Being Saul’s eldest son, Jonathan is the heir apparent to the kingdom of Israel. And unlike his father, Jonathan would make for a good king. And being the heir to his father’s throne also makes him a rival to the throne of David. But instead of being David’s rival, Jonathan becomes his best friend and a true brother. There is no hostility between the two but only brotherly love. So, before we progress in the story of David, I want to introduce you to this mighty man of God named Jonathan.
