Andrew shares how buying his first Airstream, a 30ft Globetrotter, sparked a new chapter of travel, creativity, and community. We talk about Airstreaming through New England, writing his second novel on the road, and we go in-depth on his writing process and where his story creation and characters come from.

He also talks about what it’s like to release two books just a year apart, connecting with readers at the past two International Club rally vendor booths and how now traveling in his current 25ft Airstream is there sweet spot.

A Three-Generation Airstream Legacy: The Arnold Family

You never forget your first close encounter with wildlife — especially when it leaves a dent! This week we chat with John and Amy Van Artsdalen from Texas, who share an unforgettable Airstream adventure through Yellowstone National Park. What started as a peaceful day watching bison turned wild when one curious bull decided to head-butt the back of their Airstream — hard enough to puncture through to their mattress! They took it all in stride (and with a good laugh), proving that sometimes the best stories come from the most unexpected moments.

We also talk about another highlight from their travels and ours — witnessing the solar eclipse of 2017 in Jackson Hole WY — reminding us that the road always delivers a little wonder, whether it’s a shadow across the sun or a bison in your rearview mirror. Meet Rachael Miller — full-time RVer, proud Airstreamer, plant lover, and newly appointed Executive Council member of Airstream Club International. 🌿

She caught up with us during her busy week at International to share how she and her husband Leon traded city lights for campfire nights — leaving behind urban Chicago during the pandemic for life on the open road.

Now, they travel with a trailer full of plants (yes, including a six-foot rubber tree!), spreading good vibes and greenery wherever they park. Between managing the Airstream Full-Timers Facebook group, volunteering with ACI, and keeping her mobile jungle alive, Rachael has fully embraced the Airstream community — and all the adventures that come with it.
