Nashville will host Super Bowl LXIV in 2030.

Chiefs WR Rashee Rice violated his probation after testing positive for marijuana (THC) and has been ordered to serve 30 days in jail. He was booked in Dallas County, Texas, and will be released from custody on June 16. That timeline means he’ll miss OTAs and minicamp. One week before being ordered to serve 30 days in jail, Rice underwent a clean-up surgery on his right knee to remove loose debris that was causing inflammation and now is expected to sideline him two months.

Steven Asplund will fight Guilherme Pat at UFC Vegas 120 on August 8th.

Vancouver Canucks have fired head coach Adam Foote. Foote has two more years on his Canucks contract paying him $1.5M per season. So Vancouver still owes him that.

Jason Kidd is out as coach of the Dallas Mavericks. New Mavericks president Masai Ujiri is making a coaching change. Kidd had four years and well over $40 million left on his Mavericks contract. Ujiri and Mavericks owner Patrick Dumont reached the decision this week to move on.

NASCAR has announced the new Hall of Fame inductees: Kevin Harvick (Modern Era), Jeff Burton (Modern Era), Larry Phillips (Pioneer) and Lesa France Kennedy (Landmark Award).

Dallas Mavericks' Cooper Flagg has won the 2025-26 NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Cleveland Guardians are calling up Travis Bazzana, the No. 1 overall pick from two years ago. Bazzana, 23, hit .287/.422/.511 in 24 Triple-A games this season and will take over at second base for a Guardians team that's a half-game back of first in the AL Central.

Offensive Player of the Year and Super-Bowl champion Jaxon Smith-Njigba reached agreement with the Seattle Seahawks on a four-year, $168.6 million contract extension that now makes him the highest-paid WR in NFL history. The deal averages $42.15 million per year, and includes over $120 million guaranteed, both setting records for any wide receiver.

Seahawks match offer sheet to WR Jake Bobo, who will sign a 2-year, $5.5M deal to stay in Seattle. $4.5M guaranteed, Bobo gets a $1.75M signing bonus and can earn up to $7M with incentives. 

Center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs are finalizing a long-term contract extension. Crow-Armstrong, coming off a 30-30 season and a Gold Glove, will get a big payday as the Cubs lock up a franchise-caliber talent.

Jets trading QB Justin Fields to Chiefs for 2027 sixth-round pick. Had the Jets released Justin Fields, they would’ve had to eat $10M in guaranteed money. By trading him, they take on just $7M, KC takes on $3M. Jets GM Darren Mougey has turned into one of the most active trading GMs in the league. He’s made 10+ trades in a little over a year on the job. As part of the trade, the Jets are giving Justin Fields an $8M signing bonus, plus he will earn $3M fully guaranteed salary from the Chiefs for a total of $11M.

Cardinals signed former Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard, who started 16 games last season and finished second on the team in tackles, to a one-year contract.

Cardinals have signed former Bears DT Andrew Billings.

Panthers and P Sam Martin have agreed to terms on a 2-year contract worth up to $5M to land Martin back in Carolina.

Lions LB Grant Stuard joins Rams on two-year deal.

Colts signed former Cowboys S Juanyeh Thomas.

Raiders have signed former Colts free agent LB Segun Olubi.

Dolphins signed veteran OT Charlie Heck, who spent last season with the Buccaneers.

49ers and WR Christian Kirk agreed to terms on a one-year deal for $6M.

Veteran CB Darius Slay is retiring from the NFL after 13 seasons and a Super Bowl ring. Spent 7 years with Detroit, 5 with Philadelphia and his final year with the Steelers (and sort of on the Bills).

Nate Diaz will fight Mike Perry in a five rounds MMA fight. The fight will go down on the undercard of Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano on Netflix.

Calgary, Edmonton, and Prague will be the hosts for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey. Calgary and Prague will host the round robin of the World Cup, with the semifinals and final in Edmonton. The tournament will take place in February of 2028.

Steve Kerr now has 600 career wins. He becomes the 28th head coach in NBA history to reach that mark.
