When life has something to say through me, I write. My task flows from my being as a flower emits its fragrance. As a tree bears its fruit and no other. 

When I am still, life puts me in my place. When I am still, I become my part. And though it appears small to me, it might be vast. I can only see a frame of time that I fix in agony to fit my picture of the world. But God has other plans for me. And all the pain dissipates as I write.

They say, ‘you’ve got the gift, kid,’ as if it were something special. Gifts are innate. Wishing for another’s gift makes that gift seem special. You’ve got your own - magical to another - gift. Discover it, that’s special, and then the work starts. 

The perfect action is when you don’t act. The perfect action is when you let life act through you. In complete harmony, what you create holds life. That is beauty in art, complete trust in life, a fall into God’s arms through your work. And you can claim a work you never touched as yours. 

Life teaches itself through its parts. And true power is impersonal. It's the power of the whole through the individual.

And so I write my meditative contemplations out of joy. Like a poet writes his rhymes and a rhymer writes his songs in accordance with life. Like a mother embraces her child. Like a father embraces his responsibility to provide for his family. Like the thread of life connects the whole. Like the sun needs no outside source to burn, and its nourishment to us is its innate being. A function assigned to it. So you, too, have your function. 

The task I am made of is philosophy. 

Philosophy is about the flow of life, not about walls and gathering your moral armour. But words that liberate. Words that point to the unspeakable, the whole. Philosophy is not superiority, ritual, walls and formations that separate from life, but life itself. The art of philosophy is to dance around the subject of life, for it can’t be contained by human language, only by the language of the heart. It can be perceived with God, never alone. 

I’d love to introduce you to my favourite philosopher: Marcus Aurelius, a Roman emperor. To reign with deep roots in philosophy, experience the whole through meditation and impart that grace to his kingdom. That is what true reign is—a responsibility through deep care through the pulse of the whole.   

I will now read you some of my favourite parts from Book II of his personal meditative contemplations he never meant to publish. Fortunate for us, we now get to bathe in his book called ‘Meditations’.

Don’t ever forget these things: The nature of the world. My nature. How I relate to the world. What proportion of it I make up. That you are part of nature, and no one can prevent you from speaking and acting in harmony with it, always. (Book 2 Verse 9, henceforth documented as 2.9.) 

You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say, and think. If the gods exist, then to abandon human beings is not frightening; the gods would never subject you to harm. And if they don’t exist, or don’t care what happens to us, what would be the point of living in a world without gods or Providence? But they do exist, they do care what happens to us, and everything a person needs to avoid real harm they have placed within him. If there were anything harmful on the other side of death, they would have made sure that the ability to avoid it was with you. (part of 2.11.)

The speed with which all of them vanish—the objects in the world, and the memory of them in time. And the real nature of the things our senses experience, especially those that entice us with pleasure or frighten us with pain or are loudly trumpeted by pride. To understand those things—how stupid, contemptible, grimy, decaying, and dead they are— that’s what our intellectual powers are for. (part of 2.12.)

Nothing is more pathetic than people who run around in circles, “delving into the things that lie beneath” and conducting investigations into the souls of the people around them, never realising that all you have to do is to be attentive to the power inside you and worship it sincerely. To worship it is to keep it from being muddied with turmoil and becoming aimless and dissatisfied with nature—divine and human. (part of 2.13.)

The human soul degrades itself: Above all, when it does its best to become an abscess, a kind of detached growth on the world. To be disgruntled at anything that happens is a kind of withdrawal from Nature, which comprises the nature of all things. … Or when it puts on a mask and does or says something artificial or false. (part of 2.16.)

Human life: Duration: momentary. Nature: changeable. Perception: dim. Condition of Body: decaying. Soul: spinning around. Fortune: unpredictable. Lasting Fame: uncertain. Sum Up: The body and its parts are a river, the soul a dream and mist, life is warfare and a journey far from home, lasting reputation is oblivion. Then what can guide us? Only philosophy. (part of 2.17.)

Mediocrity is a sin. How does mediocrity happen? By not caring deeply about what you do and build and its impact on the world. By not expressing your soul’s expression, but someone else's. You crave excellence/ you demand excellence of yourself because you care deeply about your cause. Who are you? It's all about self-knowledge after all. Who are you and what is the value you bring to the world?—Uniquely, because there is just one you, and we need you. It's a sin to hide from yourself. Find out who you are and give yourself to us completely. It's your responsibility. 

How does mediocrity happen? Fakeness. Fake people express mediocrity because deep care and nurture are missing. When you express who you are, you love your expression so much that you make it beautiful. It is your child, and you nurture it. 

Your GPS is your gut. It’s your taste. What you create is You. You create it for yourself, for your own pleasure. Your taste, for yourself. You taste first, and you get pleasure from what you create first and foremost. The creation is your pleasure, and that pleasure you encapsulate in your work. You become an artisan—a Master craftsman. Your work is an extension of you. Your work is you; there’ll be no division left. 

It’s distasteful to create something mediocre. On the vertices that matter, excellence is the only option.

You are here to do something exceptional. The only right thing. Your natural soul-expression. The only expression that’s true to you. The only expression worth expressing. Mediocrity is not okay. If you do something, do it right.

Your destiny is the destiny that belongs to the world. The greater good is the only good. In such alignment, the world helps you because you help it. Help it by helping yourself. Help it by discovering who you are. Art blooms because those are your flowers on your tree. How can any other flower bloom?

I will not be able to win playing by the rules. The way that I will win is by breaking them. My strategy is no strategy. My strategy is being me.

If I play by the rules, I’m just another artist faking who wants to project the image of the perfect artist. I am not that, nor am I best suited to play that game. My game is no game. My game is being me. 

I know the value I bring, and it shines through. Being me is not just enough; it’s what the world needs. 

Remember who you are.

I have no other purpose than to be myself in glory. What a trajectory. What a freedom.

No matter what you do, if you do it as you, you’ll find pleasure in it. You find no pleasure if you exert yourself. When do you exert yourself? When you portray an image. When you perform, you ask yourself after the performance, ‘Did I do well?’ 

Your scrutiny can only stop when there is nothing to scrutinise. What if there’s no image to uphold? Then the only action is immediate. Immediate soul expression, an emanation of you. A perfect mirror. Perfect choicelessness. How can you pick apart that? How can you touch your soul? You can’t. Just like the world can’t. Your soul is untarnished, pure, remembering that loves the cure, bathing in divinity, embodied holy trinity. What if there's no image to uphold?

The people in most agony have the greatest discrepancy between their image and soul. The more you match your filter of ego with your soul, the more sane you are, and also happy. Best to take your filter off from time to time.

Stop scrutinising yourself. If you are genuine and of integrity, and what you speak is true, then how can the world be against you? In such a state, you are empty and you reflect the world. In the world as the world. The only one hurting yourself is you because you mistake your thoughts and emotions as outside enemies when it's all happening here. The pain is with you, and so is the solution.

So outside the box that it’s hard. Collapse into my arms.

Beyond the mind (time), there is rest, and that’s where your soul resides. Reside there with me.

Let go. Fall into my arms in peace. Singularity and polarity, life and death, all in one breath. Too philosophical for you? You don't need to understand. I still love you.

We discover more and more about what God is through different units of consciousness. The representation of consciousness exploration is technological advancement—a physical representation of self-knowledge. As we probe into reality, we expand together. As we get to know ourselves, we evolve collectively. Individuals explore themselves and express that self-knowledge. That knowledge reflected in progress is called technology. 

Technology mimics how consciousness works. Technological advancement follows self-knowledge (exploration of consciousness, the fabric of life through probing into reality by way of individual consciousness exploration: units of consciousness). It's a group effort. It takes many to know one. 

The wave of art and technology are different representations of the same evolution. One is the physical, the other the spiritual representation of progress—one probing from within, the other from without. One attributes science to mapping God from without, while the other attributes it to mapping God from within, through direct experience. Physics and Quantum physics. The two faces of God. Two sides of the same coin. As within, so without. 

Art has yet to catch up with technology. We are behind. It’s time we stood up and served at the side of our counterpart. We uplift the human state of consciousness. We shift inner environments that dictate outer change. Technology and Art: Two inseparable waves, and artists are behind. 

It's the individuals who advance God (the collective being). An individual piece of life is a snapshot of life at its time of birth—An instant born and perished at the same time, suspended in space-time to live. A unit of the whole looking into the sub-reality of space-time to view and participate in the potential of that piece of life. 

The collective being (consciousness) looks at and experiences itself from all potential configurations. The configurations come to their fullest potential through suffering and struggles, meanwhile adding to the knowledge of the whole. As society advances through technology, the technology each soul is meant to birth by being uniquely themselves and taking their art to the extreme of authentic soul expression, uniting with God at the end, crashes as one wave on God's shore. 

One collective being advances by playing and exploring itself through different eyes. A play of consciousness for its own sake. Life. Life contained within life. Being in the world as the world. It evolves and exists eternally complete at the same time. Consciousness is a fractal pattern. Imagine a tree, an information highway that represents God. A computer that stores information. The individual folders evolve to access higher branches as they expand, feeling more collective and taking on tasks suitable for them for collective advancement. In a state of looking within (meditation), the whole tree is experienced. The two faces of God, namely the quantum conscious field (the soul) and the physical representation (the ego). The ego is a mutable representation of the soul. Reflection is essential for learning about oneself. That conscious field fixes itself into form (physical reality) to learn about itself (to evolve). The soul is never at risk because it is viewing and participating in physical life, but eternally whole as a unit of the whole, at home with God. 

The soul (eternal and untouched by space-time) is from one dimension beyond participating in space-time. Two-dimensional living. The two faces of God (manifest-unmanifest). Quantum physics holds physics in its lap. Go into the microscopic and physics turns into quantum physics. Quantum physics is the basis of reality, and it’s conscious. One conscious being throbbing with the life of you and me. 

Technology is downstream from self-knowledge. Technology mimics the fabric of life: consciousness. Technology mimics the exploration of consciousness. Art encapsulates the state of the world, as technology encapsulates progress. The two are two branches of the same tree, namely the answer to, ‘Who am I?’. And we are all looking for that one answer collectively. It's a joint effort to know one. One cannot know oneself alone. Many can know one from different angles. And so we go towards a better tomorrow together. 

Let's bring life into the world through full artistic embodiment: artists as energetic portals of change. You transmit when you speak, write, paint or sing your song. You sing yourself. You write your state of consciousness into being. What a responsibility. Write until the writing writes you. Sing until the song sings you, and take the world with you. 

It's a joint effort, and we need everybody at their own time. Everybody plays their part perfectly. Not everyone understands, but those who do will deeply resonate with these words. 

If I'm the only one scrutinising myself (inner experiences of thoughts and emotions), then why would I hide from the world if I’m the world? Why do I have to protect myself from the world if I'm the world? Thoughts and emotions are happening here. In stillness, I am in the world as the world. Why do I have to hide from the world if I’m the world? Why do I have to protect myself from the world if I'm the world? No one was out to get me after all. I was out to get myself. If I'm the only one scrutinising myself (inner experiences of thoughts and emotions), then why would I hide from the world if I’m the world?

How selfish to just be a consumer and consume things—Things other people created. How about you create something and add to society?  

With art, the problem is that it might not add to society (yet). There’s so much art, and we only need divinity. Divine art adds to society and enlivens life. Dull art is waste. But dull art brings the artist closer to divinity. Dull art is a purge of the old in transformation of the new—Trial by fire. 

The past falling off the artist to create from an empty canvas. To paint with the soul, not from past input. To create with God and the angels, and not paint through the curtain of ego/past/identity. To paint freedom, not death, and then spread freedom. That’s the value of art. 

Artists don't make money because they spread their prisons instead of freeing ppl from prisons. Break and invent taste. Challenge ppl; poke ‘em. Don't keep them safe in their boxes. Uprise, challenge, reform. Reformation and art go hand in hand. Art creates reform. Is what you do art?

Money comes naturally as an act of service. What does your art do? Who does it serve? No one? Then think again. Now your art serves your healing. Heal, then heal others. Your art heals you until the scales tip, and art heals the world. 

My words have purpose. They poke you, don’t they? So I serve you. That’s an example. Who do you serve? What does your art do? Is it vanilla? Is it safe and comfortable? Who do you offend? For you must offend, I tell you. Do people love you? Maybe go to the edges and scare yourself, drop some more of your coat of past, and end up making something revolutionary. Maybe heal some more.

Also. Artists don't understand the economics of business. To be able to serve the world, I need to be profitable to sustain myself and make ppl aware of my change! That’s business. Money comes naturally as a result of service (Henry Ford). Artists are entrepreneurs. Go read biographies and understand how ppl think that stand behind change and make change happen. Artists aren't paupers. Artists have to rise in intelligence and street smarts to go back to the golden age. Today, dying souls sing of death. 

Where are the Picassos and Davincis? We don’t need patrons, we need to rise and reclaim art. What is this begging for money when alive art enlivens the world? We forgot our part, maybe we forgot who we are. Who and who as artists. Alive work heals the world. It’s time we know the value of living work. And incalculable is the value of a living artist. Let’s wake up and create stuff worth having, tasting, owning, and paying for. 

Art is a product. Art has to be marketed. Art exists to make change happen. How can you make money from living art? First, come alive, then create something someone wants and charge for it. Maybe media or products around your thing, education or anything where healthy commerce sustains and btw, alive art is explosive and grows on its own. We just have not seen it in a while. Let's challenge the dimension of art and invent. In the Renaissance, explosive shifts happened. Art was an uproar, and what is it today? An act of hiding. We are hiding from ourselves. You don’t know the power of your soul—Self forgetfulness. Art breaks the old, invents the new, shifts in consciousness, represented in objects—Artefacts of change. We represent the awakening, the evolution of people coming alive. Come alive and take the world with you. 

There are two faces of God. Manifest-unmanifest and the artist, the bridge. Windows to God. Who are you? What do you represent? What do you create? You can only create what you are. Who are you?

Picasso invented cubism, or rather, cubism used him to come to life. Authentic soul-expression is art. Are we creating with God or from our egos? That’s a thought. Is our art alive or dead? Are we alive? How dare we call death art. Is what we create art at all? These are the questions we are to ask if we long for a renaissance. Let’s rise from the dead. Let's together figure this thing out. Just one strike or two and we uprise. Let's spark some life into the community. Or we remain artists without spines, marching fools in line to further rigidity and away from life.

Becoming A Teacher

This is a lived experience. It is not going to find you if you are not to become it. You are the path. You are your art. You are your craft, and your life’s work. The journey you live for the world is your destiny. You are your destiny: your lived experience as a selfless expression of your soul as your unique gift to the world out of compassion. 

As you walk along your path, something beautiful unfolds. You will feel the selfless desire to serve out of joy. You will naturally want to share your experience. Don't force this transition; fall into it naturally. When teaching happens through you, let it. What is meant to unfold always unfolds naturally. Simply make art, and live life consciously. Face your past and shed all that is not inherent in your soul. Unbecome. Unbecome and end in God.

A teacher doesn't teach. A teacher is the embodiment of their teaching. Their natural soul expression is the teaching. It is inner knowing and unfolds within the heart as such. You become your teaching. Until that doesn't happen, you are not a teacher. Your lived path, the pain you conquer, is your teaching. You are your teaching. You speak from experience. You are That. You are what you teach. You have walked the road, and you effortlessly guide others to embark on that very journey. 

Your art becomes a piece of truth in time. Your art holds the truth and is your teaching. You may teach by speaking/ writing, or you may simply make art and let your art do the talking. You teach through direct experience through artefacts of you (art). Teaching through art. Art that teaches. You are your art. There’ll be no distinction left. Your art emanates the truth, imparts life, and gives a taste. It is alive as you created it as a piece of life in a state of communion with life. Your art is your highest teaching. Direct experience of God within. You are what you worship. 

You teach without intention. Your natural soul expression brings the healing. You don’t seek to impart anything. Life teaches; you are a vessel for the teaching to shine through. You don’t claim to be a teacher, you are That. You are a teacher by frequency. You are what you teach. You do not claim to be anything. You do not seek to become rich or famous from your art. Your art is a selfless expression of your soul out of joy. Out of your compassion, you share your art selflessly. Soulful art naturally awakens ripe hearts. 

Don’t stand in the way of life. Humbleness and simplicity are the doors. Intelligence only abides in pure vessels. Empty your being. Only selfless beings can enter the kingdom of heaven. As long as you are this and that and seek to be turned into the saviour, you are lost and can only confuse your students. Be a vessel of truth instead of a clown.

The foolish ones make art. The wise ones are art. You can practice yoga, but you will never be yoga by practising it. You are that or you are not. You are life or you are death. Choose wisely.

Writing is meditation. Speaking is meditation. Cleaning is meditation when you are aligned with life. It is the middle path. Neither action nor passivity. Non-action. Resting through action. Being. Active meditation. Alignment with life. Balance, simplicity, truth. Blissful emptiness. 

When you are alive, you capture life. When you are death, you capture death. Today, we are in the age of dead art. This is the era of death. Be a forerunner, taste, and impart life. Don’t perpetuate death. Come alive. The golden age holds masterworks. Today, dying souls sing of death.

If you make art as your soul, your art becomes life itself. What you touch turns to gold, and heavenly works live on. Incalculable is the value of living work in the world. Incalculable is the value of a living artist. Living work gets preserved, and lights hearts on fire. 

Beyond duality, where positive and negative meet, there is rest. Rest in your soul. Be neither active nor non-active. Being, resting, recuperation. You don’t waste energy creating from a state of being. You are connected to the life force and have unlimited creative capacity. 

True knowledge is hidden carefully. Only when you are humble and selfless do you become truth. You cannot own it. You can live it. Be truth. Don’t be a clown and speak about something miraculous through words that are dead. You understand when you empty yourself. When you are selfless, you are life itself.

Life is beyond polarity. Life is perceived. Life is lived. Truth can be perceived through your being in a state of meditation. When you turn within. When the mind looks within and sees itself, and rests there. 

Being, not doing. I AM. Resting. You are the one you are looking for. You are the one you worship. 

As intelligence increases (alignment with life), effort decreases (flow with life): natural, spontaneous, effortless expression of soul.

I AM ‘The Road For Artists.’ There’s nothing to prepare. I show up and speak or type. I am what I share. My unbecoming is the road I lay out in these lines. My gift to the world is my journey of healing. I am the gift I give. My healing journey, my salvation, my unbecoming is my unique road. Everyone unbecomes in a different way, through a different lens. Everyone has different corruption and a different identity that melts in the face of God. So everyone uses different words and lays out a seemingly different path. But the destination is the same. 

All true paths end in God. My gift is The Spiritual Path Of Art, which I walk alongside my students. I am but another artist on The Road. That is how teaching feels. There is no intention to teach, the teaching naturally arises out of compassion. Healing happens when the vessel offers a shared space of truth. The individual does not heal. When the individual is no more, healing happens, a sharing of the space of pure being. No one heals or is being healed. Individuality collapses into the unity of life.

An awakened soul that is on the journey of healing has a wider spectrum of experience. They may interact with the projected reality in a balanced way and enjoy the projection. They are not holy or perceived as holy, but are regular human beings with acute self-awareness through which they refine their emotional being. Their inner state is not reactive and thereby completely overpowered by the emotions stored in their body (the past crystallised in the body). Those layers are purged and let go of consciously. Enlightenment, from my perspective, is not a final state but the continuous surrender of all that is not me (inherent in my soul).

A mature soul witnesses unfoldment and surrenders emotional residue, and affirms to the body to let it go. That is spiritual work in action. No magic, no fairytales, no angels or demons. No hallucinations, just a creation of a beautiful inner environment. All curses, hallucinations, and imaginations are but corrupt patterns to be let go of. No magic will unfold, and you won’t become the saviour. Those are corrupt patterns. Selflessness, simplicity and humility are results of true transformation. Such transformation is private work and does not need to be talked about or forced onto anyone. If you truly transform your life will become very simple and balanced. You will not hide from the world or become famous and preach. You will not run away from pain, but see the world and everything that appears before you as your next lesson. 

You might lose yourself to the projected reality and then remember again. Eventually, you see the world sitting in your soul, and constant disillusionment occurs. You learn about creation from within, alone. Your teacher is your soul. You will not see angels or talk to energy clusters. Instead, you have immediate knowledge of you: creation. All else you see is a projection of your mind, and you let those layers go. You live life humbly and share what you are to share in your way with your words, through your art. Your journey is unique to you. 

You will realise that the cup is useful when it’s empty, and that’s where creativity comes from. When the cup is full, the creative potential is masked by thoughts and emotions. 

Your body is a representation of your state of being. As you become light, the body becomes light and free of the past.

As long as your life is in havoc and no harmony is established, you are still transmuting gross emotions. Once you live a simple, harmonious life, you refine subtler emotional distortions. Free yourself of the gunk of the past, forgive, purge, let go and free your destiny and your soul’s work. You will discover your soul’s work (you simply wake to it/ find yourself there) along your journey of healing, and your greatest joy will be to share yourself authentically with the world, as your soul, not as your shadow (as your authentic soul-expression). You will see that most of your desires and dreams were fueled by your shadow and were not yours. Your desires change, and you assume naturally the position of highest value for humanity through your vessel and do your work in flow for the world.

🎶 A Life With You On A Bed

I am the distance between me and my partner—'I am' being my ego. I am the distance between me and my partner. But when there is no ego, there is just the flow of life. I contemplated that in meditation. Then I realised, well, I am the distance between me and my father, meaning my ego. But if there is no ego, there is just the flow of life. I am the distance between me and my colleagues. But if there is no ego, there is just the flow of life. I am the distance between me and my best friend. But when there is no ego, there is just the flow of life. I am the distance between me and the world. But when there is no ego, there is just the flow of life. I am the distance between me and my soul. But when there is no ego...

Ego being the past and trauma and hurt. But when you see immediately you meet in life, then there is no distance. So when you put your ego aside, then it's beautiful with the partner. And the partner is the greatest teacher, the greatest mirror. And I've contemplated upon self-worth recently and how to restore self-worth. I want to share my contemplations with you spontaneously.

I've realised that my self-worth was broken. And scattered outside of me. And I realised that when I recollect my pieces, I am worthy. Sitting in my soul, complete and whole. Not depending on outside reassurance. You see, I'll give you an example. I'll give you an example. I'm going to post this little meditation in the community, I believe, as the very first meditative transmission. So I can share more personal examples with you to understand spiritual work in action. So yesterday, when I sent a little video my partner's way, I was expecting my partner to react with, 'oh, you're so beautiful'. And my partner is lovely, but she didn't use that word. And I realised, because I'm acutely self-aware, —that's spiritual work, right?— that I missed that word. And because of that, there was something missing in me. But I took back that word, and I made myself whole. And then it clicked. That is self-worth.

Because we're losing ourselves to the projected reality. In every area of life, with everything, we're draining ourselves. We're depending on the outside reality for our happiness. And that is a broken self-worth. That's horrible. Because in every experience in life, when experiences are not whole, they create a shadow. Meaning, a whole experience is a complete experience. A truthful experience in integrity. You speak the truth, you feel the moment in its entirety, and then it passes. So it doesn't leave a shadow. No afterthoughts, no karma, no karmic seed. It's a complete moment in time.

But moments that are not complete and not in integrity with you, or you lied, or you felt something, an undercurrent, you know? You might have said all the right things, but you felt like something's wrong. And what happens then is you have a thought about it, and you attach an emotion to it. And that emotion at that time was charged. It's energy. And you didn't complete it; you didn't observe it and release it. So it was stored in your body. So that left an imprint, a mark, a scar. So now it's in your consciousness, a distortion. And as consciousness wants to purge, wants to be free, wants to be the flow of life, and not this corrupt piece of life. That's where suffering comes from. We stand in the way of life; we suffer. But let's say another experience comes that reminds us of that scar. That emotion pops up again. The only way to resolve it and restore self-worth, meaning self-worth being completely independent from the projected reality, being completely contained within, untouched, untarnished, whole, like we are. But we have these emotional storages that need to be released. So once we look at the emotion, we exhaust it to resolution by just witnessing the emotion. Letting it dissipate and affirming to the body, 'I'm sorry I stored it for so long, but I'm letting it go now. I'm restoring my self-worth.' And like this, we collect the pieces of soul back.

And then we realise that we're whole. We're not dependent. For instance, in the morning when I wake up and I put my phone off airplane mode, I almost already expect a message from my partner. And when there's no message, I feel a certain way. Do you think that's the partner's fault? No. My reaction is my responsibility. And I think again, and I sit and I look at the emotion, and I dissolve it. So the next morning, when that doesn't happen, when I don't get the text, and these are like really fine distortions, but all distortions are depleting our energy and attaching us and entangling us with things. So we depend on a certain action to feel a certain way. But what if you dissolve all that? You restore self-worth.

You're independent, and you're like the sun. You're shining on your own. And then your partner wants to be around you all the time. Or for instance, when you're jealous and you project that jealousy onto your partner and you already assume and judge deep down, not consciously, unconsciously, mind you, and everything that's in the unconscious, it dictates your life, and you call it fate. Somebody said that, I don't remember, Freud or someone. Because you're unconscious of it, but if you make it conscious, you can release it, and then you don't have that pop up in your life anymore. Or even if it does, it doesn't bother you because you're whole within. You've realised your soul, which is untarnished by all of this. It's just the ego, the false identity that is completely entangled, unfortunately, and we're draining our life force. So let's say you're jealous of your partner. You blame them, you project it onto them, and eventually, you manifest it for yourself. And they feel a certain way, or guilt, or whatever. And maybe they text someone or they go see someone. But it was in you all along. The seed was there. And if a seed is there, it'll sprout in time.

So, how about you dissolve all that? Because maybe it has to do with something in childhood, you know. When your dad abandoned you or didn't give you the attention that you needed. And when you restore self-worth, you're like the sun. And no thoughts like jealousy would enter your mind. And people just want to be around you. That's a different experience, you know.

So you can change your entire world by changing your mind about the world. Because that's where the cause is. You're not shuffling around in the effect to solve one problem for another to pop up, no. We are pulling roots here. So restoring self-worth is really ridding yourself of the past so that you can experience every moment fully. And you can be in the now, present, truly, in a flow of life. You're not leaving shadows and scars in your body. And you're not forming a different identity. Because truly, if you untangle everything, you're just the flow of life. You're just your soul expression naturally. You don't create an image of yourself.

That's the problem. It's like two-dimensional living. It's the image that you create of yourself that's living in space-time. And your soul, which is in the now, one dimension beyond that. So if you untangle the images, the imprints, the marks in space-time, then your soul just transpires through. And the experience is just of living in the now. Because the identity is just a trauma response to stuff that we didn't resolve. And that is time. That is the past that's projected onto the future. We repeat the past over and over again.

I recently read about Tilopa, a Siddha. And he taught Naropa, his most famous student, a lesson. What he did is he took a snake. And he tied a little rope around the snake and made a knot there. And he put it in front of Naropa. And the snake started jumping around in a wild manner, trying to free himself of the rope. And he asked Naropa, what is this? What does this mean? And he looked at the snake. And slowly the snake managed to untie the knot and freed himself from the rope. And then, in an elegant manner, like snakes do, naturally, it slid away.

And Naropa contemplated, meditated. And he realised, 'the snake is my mind'. And the snake, in its natural state, is elegant and flows and is a beautiful tool. But if I tie ropes around it and I make imprints, it struggles and it causes great, great struggle. And when I want enlightenment and peace, I want to kill off my mind. I want to kill off the ego. It's my enemy. And I shun it into a corner and I don't look at it. And I pretend like it's not there. That's escapist spirituality, trying to be in the now without resolving the problem. But if instead I untie the knots and I free the mind, I can use it as a tool. And it becomes clean. I clean the glass. And my soul just shines through. And that's spiritual work.

You can't just escape and pretend like you're in the now. It doesn't work. But when you use discrimination, which is called Viveka, not this, not that, neti-neti principle, I'm not this, I'm not that, and you release all of these stored emotions. Again, it's the emotions. You don't need to find, and contemplate, and intellectualise the story. You just need to capture the emotion and sit with it and look at it as an observer, non-judgmental, just look at it. And it'll jump around like a snake until the emotional charge is resolved. And then you're free. And when it comes again, you do it again. And eventually, with that acute self-awareness, you can untangle everything.

And at the beginning, the world will show you you. And obviously, the world is you. Do you like the world you see? If there's no conflict inside, how can there be conflict outside? So when you interact with your partner, you don't see them. You see yourself. When you interact with your colleagues or your mom or your dad or your sister or your friends, you don't see them. You see yourself. You see your trauma. So next time, think again and take back your power and restore your self-worth.

That's a very good question. What is The Road For Artists? Well, it's the road that I walked and I am walking, and it's actually the road that every artist walks naturally, unknowingly for the most part, and it is facing yourself every step of the way to become the artist you were born to become. To be yourself in front of the microphone. To have your flowers bloom because those are your flowers on your tree. How can any other flower bloom? 

But for that to happen, it takes a long time. Miles Davis says ‘Man, it takes a long time to play music like I play music.’ I'm paraphrasing, but it takes a long time to find your sound, and I don't want to sound like anybody else. ‘If I'm to put something on tape, it ought to be me.’ That's what John Coltrane said. Those are some of my heroes. Jazz Giants. 

I Have contemplated recently why Jazz is so mesmerizing to me. It's because something is planned but everything is unplanned. Every performance is new and fresh. There's some musical elements in place. The rest is improv, and if somebody changes an element, everybody does. So it's the hive mind. Jazz is one.

Such is art. That's the essence of art. That's what I tried to relay in The Road For Artists. The road is walking the road, dying to the false you, to the shadow, to birth the art that you are meant to create. A mirror image of you, an extension of you, you are your art. But as long as there are shadows in the way, doubts and fears, ‘what would others think of me?’ for instance, what's on the canvas is not you then, it's your trauma and you paint until one day you are on the canvas and the canvas is you and the paint is you. There's nobody painting really, there’s just life, and you are the vessel for life to shine through. That's the road, and it's difficult and it's a mirror image of the spiritual road, the spiritual path to self. 

Who am I? Who was I before I was born, and before that? You know, when you really contemplate, who was I before I was born and before that? It's very difficult to come to an answer because... Space-time, right? Because time: past and future. But what is past and future, really? Past is trauma that we carry into the future. It's patterns. It's something robotic. It's a personality, almost static. Changes along the years, but you perpetuate the past into the future. Isn't that time? What if the soul is not off time? What if the soul is one degree away, always safe, safe and sound? What if that's where the peace of God lies? Because we're always safe. We're always safe and sound, right there where we are, now. 

Where was I before I was born, and before that? Now. Here now. One degree away. So, it's like a dimension in a dimension, but you're free of this space. That's why the great mystics say that you don't need to suffer, yet we are suffering. And that's the road. You die to yourself. You die to your suffering. You die to something false anyway, and you are born again as your soul. Though you never were anything else. How can you go to a place you never left? It's impossible. 

So, what's the essence of art? To become art. To be that. To be the dance of life through your hands. A birth of divine artifacts from soul to soul. It captures life and hence it relays life. 

It's like a window to God. Where we are one, safe and sound. Not that we are one-one. You're still your soul, but your soul is connected to creation. You are a part of creation. You are a piece of life. So, you create from a place where life is. You don't create dead art. Unfortunately, it's kind of harsh to say, but... This age is the age of dead art. Let's revive living art. Living art that tasted the soul. 

You know some artists, they taste their soul in one area of life, which is art, because that is what they mastered. For instance, Picasso was his art. He said it takes an entire lifetime to paint like a child. So he was divinity, and divinity was him. He left himself outside the door when he entered the shrine of his art studio. He was alone there. Just a soul. He communed with God while painting. The problem is he didn't bring that same divinity to the rest of his life. 

You know, he played God the rest of his life. But he was a humble servant of the divine, and that was his secret when he painted. He was no one when he painted. He was life. That was his secret. He didn't do anything. 

It's non-doing. It's karma yoga. It's being life. It's being art. The essence of art is to become your art. The essence of art is to find out who you are, and that's the spiritual journey. Who are you? 

And that's The Road For Artists, so thank you very much for listening. I'm gonna go back to making music now, and alive music, living music, not layers away, not degrees away. What would that look like, huh? I'm to find out. 

I'm gonna release some songs at the end of every episode. I'm gonna put a little song, just my guitar and me, back to basics. Perhaps some Jazz piano added. Let's see how that unfolds. 

I trust life. You know what I realised? I trust life more and more. The more layers fall off me, because they were never mine. The more I'm aligned with life. The more I am, the more I am myself, the more life takes care of me. In my misery, I felt alone and fragile, and I had such mistrust to life, and I'm just learning again, like a newborn, like an infant, to trust life and to trust God because he always took care of me. Because I've also realised on the road, and all of these topics are, by the way, topics that I'm going to cover on this podcast. It's just what comes to me naturally now, and then ask questions, please, in the comments, and I will do my best to answer them. I would love that so much more than just me riffing, even though apparently it works. You know, I was petrified before I sat down to the microphone. I was like, who am I to teach? Who am I to teach? ‘Who am I?’ to teach? If the teaching happens naturally, if you are your teaching, then that is that. If you are degrees away and you are not what you teach, then you are a fraud. No one chooses teaching. Teaching chooses vessel. You are what you are. 

So what I've also realised is that the world is a mirror. You emanate. I tell you a little secret. Your emanation is what you get in space-time. So it takes time, it has delay, but that doesn't matter because you just recycle your past. So it's the same thing regardless. So everything is energy, right? Everything is vibration. So you vibrate a certain thing. It's not just what you say and think. It's emotions. Those are charged, right? Because you believe in your thoughts, so you charge them with emotions, but not just that. Let's say there is a person, and you only say the nicest, most loving things to them, but there are undercurrents of you. There is jealousy or there is something you can't really put your finger on it but there is something nasty that you give them. So it's all of you, all your emanations, everything that you emanate. You know, your resonance is what you get back. 

So the world, you created it, that's the thing. You can blame God but when you're on the spiritual journey, it sounds very harsh, but when you're on the spiritual journey you realise more and more and more how you transpire and it's just: you get what you are. 

You get what's in you. You are not separate from your creation. You project yourself onto your creation, and you have done that all along. So when you see that you take responsibility and you witness your reactions to the world and you release them because ‘they're not inherent in my soul’, and this is how you untangle yourself slowly slowly, and it takes time and nobody that's here is done. 

So as I'm learning more and more I want to share selflessly not from my emotional self, not from my trauma but selflessly from my soul. From soul-to-soul. I speak to you from soul to soul. Perhaps it rubs off on someone and they sit in their soul while I speak. That's the goal. 

Again, this is all very new to me. So I'm just grateful for this opportunity to be me, and that's astonishing to me that I can just, you know... I don't need to save anybody, I don't need to teach to anybody. I don't need to be a saviour, I don't need to play that. I thought I had some kind of role to play, but life plays. Isn't that nice? I can just be me. That's kind of freaky. And beautiful. It's like ‘I can breathe out’. Like, ‘it's okay, you can just be you.’ And life takes care of you. But when you're degrees away from you, you are this corrupt piece of life, and you seem alone and fragile. When you clean all that dirt and you're once again you, life shines through. 

Isn't that cool? So that's The Road For Artists. It is the spiritual journey. And the cool thing is that I as an artist, I think I can relay that best to artists, you know? So, that's the unique twist.

Art is vibration. It doesn’t stand alone. It doesn’t live apart from you. Art lives by its maker. It lives through you. It is a piece of you. 

Art is frequency. You capture who you are, your state of being, in an object. You impregnate it with your intention. The highest intention is no intention (alignment with life). 

What stands behind your art shows. You cannot hide. You are your art. 

True soul expression has no intention but is a direct transmission of you. No afterthoughts, pure and true. Silence (meditation, the soul sitting in its own nature) is the highest vibration. Art that points to God melts and sits between you and the divine. You sit with God while you perceive and consume the art alone.

Direct transmission of silence (meditation) is the highest blessing of love. Art is but a tool to take you there. Art is not it, but what it points to is That. The truth can only be perceived and directly experienced. It can never be captured as a derivative, as a projection. Truth is. All that is manifested is not That. What holds everything within it is That. I am. There are no more words required. 

Be aware of what you transmit. And see everything that is not you and dissolve it. You can only transmit what you are. See what you are not and let it go. Do you have eyes to see? The only way to be there is to fall and let go. The only way I can poke you there is to give you the experience. No one gives and receives that experience, but we share it. And it is up to you to realise it and nurture it within your being. It is the highest art form to relay God through art. That is the highest transmission. Where a master's road ends is in God. Words impregnated, emanating, nectar: Milarepa and Rumi. Art that opens a window to God. That is art. Death is not art. Art is alive. 

Art is vibration. Your art is an expression of your soul. It holds your vibration within it. Your art is your spell. So are thoughts; so are words. Every expression can be art. A corrupt artist creates shadows, objects of death, not art. 

When you are born, the placement of the stars—the world at that moment—you are that piece of life. You are that piece of time. The destiny of that moment in time suspended for you to live. You are a piece of life and the whole of life all in one breath. 

Heal. Regenerate. Purge. And establish in harmony. See with clarity, and act wisely.

Free action lies beyond the past. Dissolve the past by observing the emotional entanglements as a witness. They are not inherent in your soul. Feel them, exhaust them to resolution, and surrender them to God. You will see things change, and you will continue to address the past and free up your future.

Without the curtain of karma, you have free will. Recycling the past isn't free will. Driven by your past, you repeat it. That is your hell; your personal prison. A prison most are unaware of. Free yourself.

You're not rejecting reality or your circumstance, but you are removing the pain from it, the emotions and spiralling thoughts that feed your agony. The facts remain; clarity dawns. The way you participate changes; wisdom arises; solutions appear; you surrender. There is a healthy way to participate in life: withdrawn, sitting in your soul, witnessing unfoldment. From that stance, you disidentify from your dramas and you surrender them to God.

You see the urgent pain, but it doesn't touch you. It is a fact, and you can take action to resolve it, but emotional pain is dissolved. Now, you can act in a sane, balanced, and healthy manner. True change only comes with the internal release of emotional patterns. Otherwise, patterns repeat, and outward manifestation appears so that you see your pain. Remove the emotions and let the patterns fall away. That is final resolution. Intellectualising is not final resolution. Feel and release attached emotions. 

Paraphrasing Einstein: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is insanity. You cannot change the problem with the same energy that created it.

See the past unbalanced actions that led you to your current situation, but choose otherwise! Don’t contribute to this madness anymore. 

See the actions you plan to take every day and face the emotions accompanying the execution. Don’t shy away. Instead, face the pain and take the actions needed to get you to where you choose to go. As you take action, you dissolve the emotional pain, and the action remains in its purity, and you feel a lot better, almost content. 

The world doesn't have to affect you! You see the facts and, in wisdom, act to resolve pains on the path to a harmonious life. At the same time, you are not entangled but free of the pain. In the world but not of it (Jesus). Emotional pain can be resolved and let go of. Through contentment, you act in wisdom aligned with life. 

The resolution lies not in rearranging the world to fit your desires and fixing yet another problem, only for it to repeat in yet another way in your life. The final resolution is to look within and look at what lies within the problem.

What masquerades as the problem? See the pattern and release it once and for all! Sit and witness the emotional turmoil, and affirm to release it and watch it dissipate. When the darkness leaves your being and light illuminates the empty space that it left, clarity dawns. New opportunities arise, and you see the problem from another angle.  

Now, free action and wisdom take you to the new, and you are not recycling the past anymore. That is healing. There is nothing new if patterns and pains are not surrendered. They manifest over and over again. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome.

How to change your life? Dissolve the emotional pain that is attached to your greatest acute current pains. Then, look at them in a new light and objectively, with newfound wisdom, take clear action towards a more harmonious life.

The problem remains, but the emotional turmoil is dissolved. The facts remain, but the emotional turmoil is dissolved. Free action in clarity towards a harmonious life in wisdom becomes possible. Beyond emotional turmoil lies wisdom. Dissolving patterns is wisdom. Recycling the past is insanity.

Now, you may set goals in clarity and participate in life in a healthy way. You may move towards a harmonious and balanced life. You stop running. You face your past. You surrender your mask. The authentic self emerges beyond all that madness. You are not a prisoner of your past. Your past is not your destiny. Your destiny is yours.
