Paul, in Romans 5, teaches us that if we will hold space for suffering in our lives, God will produce endurance, character, and hope in us. We don\'t have to white-knuckle anything. We simply have to allow suffering without the need to run from it, reframe it, or repress it. And if we find our way to this \"allowing\", we finally find true hope.
