Many of us turn to shows, video games, sports, or whatever else to escape from daily life.
This escapism has its value, but we sometimes end up living for our next escape.
We never consider why we want to get away or what we might do about it.
Escaping reality won't change it.
You've got this.
Balance is not doing all the things at all times.
Rather, it's doing the right things at the right times.
It's prioritizing your energy according to your needs, preferences, and goals.
This may vary from time to time and person to person.
You decide what balance means to you.
You've got this.
Rarely, if ever, will a single decision define you.
When repeated, though, decisions can reflect, or lead to, habits and patterns.
Those habits and patterns, in turn, are largely what make you "you."
What decisions are you making each day?
What kind of "you" are you creating?
You've got this.
Did you know that even one night of poor sleep may be enough to drive hunger, cravings, food reward, and larger portion sizes?

Enjoy your Wednesday :-)
The steps we need to take are often the most difficult.
The potential impact that makes them so alluring also makes them so intimidating.
Pay attention to that voice calling you down the challenging path.
You might fail or make mistakes.
That's okay.
All you can do is try.
You've got this.
It's tempting to change everything when we're not satisfied.
Doing so, however, we risk changing things that were actually beneficial.
Consider a more methodical approach to determine what is and isn't serving you.
Make one change at a time.
From there, assess and adjust.
You've got this.
There will always be somebody doing better than you are.
This only matters if you decide it does.
Any pressure you feel to compare yourself against others is up to you.
Thus, so is any dissatisfaction you feel for how you stack up.
You're only in the competitions you choose.
You've got this.
We often overlook the value of difficult days.
They can help us appreciate good days, show us our strengths and weaknesses, and prepare us for future trials.
Their challenges make us stronger, wiser, and more capable.
Difficult days are blessings.
Lean into the difficulty.
You've got this.
You might already know that resistance training can help you get bigger and stronger.
Did you know, though, that it can also promote bone, cardiometabolic, and mental health?

Have a lovely Wednesday :-)
Planning and preparation have their roles.
However, we often let them lead to perfectionism.
We beat ourselves up when we're wrong, or perhaps worse, put off ever starting.
You'll never know exactly what to do.
Learn from your mistakes.
Adjust as necessary.
Keep showing up.
You've got this.
