Habits. What we repeatedly (don't) do, determines who we become.
While many would have you believe that habits are only of the active sort, I'd have you consider that not doing something is also a habit.
I was in the habit of consistently publishing episodes of this podcast. Then I wasn't.
But, instead of looking at it as "not being in the habit", which doesn't seem that challenging, looking at it as "in the habit of not podcasting", we can see the true dangers of skipping; loss of positive momentum and the creation of negative momentum.
Momentum is critical, thus we must course-correct ASAP.
