Annie is a bright Ruby red rose in a sea of Blue tie wearing sameness.  That's not to say that the world of Financial Advice doesn't need the "Blue Tie Brigade" - but it definitely needs more Ruby Red Roses, passionately standing up for what they believe in - whether that is for equality in how females are treated in and around Professional Services, for the right to be able to debate your point of view, or even declare which side of the political divide you stand on.

Anne and I have known each other for years, and despite Anne being my DISC profile clone (seriously..we got the exact same score - pretty scary) she is someone that I've always had an enormous amount of time and respect for.  Never backwards in coming forwards for what she believes is right and fair and just, today Anne is leading and inspiring a whole new generation of females in the Financial Services profession, as well as anyone that has at one time or another felt that they could never truly be themselves, for fear of being 'left out' when the sides are picked.

In our Podcast, Anne shares her life with us from a time before Financial Services, when a 16 year old school girl fell in love (from a distance) with the Grandfather of the Australian Superannuation system, to packing up her suitcase and setting out for a shot at the bright lights of Hollywood - to when she met her hubbie and yin to her yang, Frank Fuchs...yep..that's his name...how cool is that!

She also opens our eyes like only Anne can, to the idea that we need to listen - truly listen - to both sides of every argument.  Whether that is political, education based, industry vs consumer, male and female - all of us need to listen to each others points of view, if we are to find the common ground, where the best outcomes for all sit.  Because from there we can all move forward...following the lovely lady in the bright Ruby Red dress.

You might recognise him as one of the Buyer's Jury on TV's "The Block" and instantly think that he's always been at the top of the Property Market and only deals with wealth property buyers and sellers.  But when you listen to his story you realise that - like his beloved Western Bulldogs Football Club - his story is one of hard work and humble beginnings, in the West Melbourne suburb of Footscray.

In our Podcast, Greville shares his story that takes us back to a boy growing up in a not so nice version of what has become a very trendy Footscray, to his tears of joy when his Western Bulldogs won the AFL flag in 2016 (much to my disappointment as they flogged my beloved Swans).  Along the way he use some of his uniquely "Grevillisms" to openly challenge those pro-porting to be Property Experts.

He also takes us through his tried and tested process that can help the Average Aussie make smarter decisions around what Properties they should be looking at.  As well as exploring some of the risks associated with Off The Plan purchases, and how to use an evidence based approach to minimise risk when it comes to helping your clients buy their next property.

Amanda has achieved a lot in her nearly 20 years in Financial Planning - but she isn't anywhere near done yet!  Owning and running a successful firm on the Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia) with over 200 active clients and a team of 5, she could very easily fill her days with client work, and then enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast weather.  But Amanda wants to give back to the Advice community that has given her so much, and she does that through her role as the Queensland State Chair of MDRT.

After leaving High School as a self described "Clueless Kid", Amanda worked in waitressing and administration roles, before finding herself falling into a Financial Planning practice in the early 2,000s...  From there it has been a continuous upwards rise within her practice - Wealth Planning Partners (WPP) - as part of a Succession Plan (one of the ones that actually works - and she shares her tips on this in the interview).  Along the way she has completed her Masters of Financial Planning, had a couple of kids - both of whom now also work with her at WPP, and in her spare time - she's even written a book "Financial Secrets Revealed".

In our Podcast Amanda shares openly, her views on bringing and then working with family in your business - as she has done with her two kids Mitchell and Madeline.  She also challenges my potentially jaded and old world view of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) Financial Planning family - and the sharing and nurturing role that have played in her development and her life.

She also takes us through her process that helped her write her first book - Financial Secrets Revealed - and how she contemplated putting a bit of "Bodice Busting" elements into it to keep it interesting... if you know Amanda you know that she is as proud as she is loud, when it comes to celebrating journeys and successes... so I hope you enjoy her chat with me.
