In the movie, Dead Poet's Society, a professor at an all-boys boarding school challenged his students to live extraordinary lives — to go beyond the status quo. The famous phrase from that movie was carpe diem, which means seize the day. I believe that is the message Jesus has for our Church and in our own lives. Jesus longs for us to make the most of the opportunities He has placed before us. No matter what difficulties, challenges or irritations we may be facing — God wants us to make the most of them all. Will you seize the day?
